Deepansh Verma's Review On ABES Engineering College, Ghaziabad

Foremost it was my AKTU rank, but I would also say the college's ranking in the AKTU University drove me and also its placement percentage which is quite high. I would say that college's time and effort which they put in each of their student is the best thing, there are teachers who are literally ready to help you out anytime. I opted B.Tech in Information Technology as I was very much interested in learning new technologies (like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning,etc.) or I can say to learn more about a computer.

The course syllabus of AKTU University is updated. They have included many new courses in their curriculum and have updated the syllabus of old courses. I would say that we are taught things that we need to know for being a better professional. Even there are regular industrial visits conducted by college so that we can get to know about the environment there and also get to know how things are done in industries. Like everywhere else, here also there are some teachers with whom you won't be comfortable but we do have some teachers who are not only good in their subject but are there to help us out in any situation. My favourite teacher is Mrs. Shweta Kaushik ma'am, she taught me Discreet logics in second year and was also my class coordinator, she is a very lovely and helpful teacher.

Companies like TCS, Capgemini, Infosys and many other big companies and start-ups visit our college for placements. Profile of offered varies from software developer to full stack developer. About Placement process depends on the companies individually.In general there is an aptitude round, then technical round and then there is a personal interview. Our placement cell works really hard in every aspect so that each and every student could get a good job. Ww havw a separate alumni cell to conduct sessions and keep in touch with alumni in different- different fields. There is also an separate cell for start-ups, the college provides funds to the ideas of creative minds, they also provide them space to work. And try to help students with everything.

Actually there are many clubs in my college ( like Samvaad- theatrical club, Picturesque - photography club,Minerva - literary club, etc.). Our college annually organise a fest named GENERO. In this fest various events for each and every domain are covered i.e. from technical to cultural (like Hackathons, fashion shows, Group dance and singing, nukkad natak, gaming contests, etc). About 110 events are organised in the duration of three days of GENERO. So I can say there are various opportunities to learn while enjoying yourself and not only our college students but also students from all over the NCR region come to take part in it.

No I haven't availed any scholarship and as such there is no scholarship or loan facility provided by the college in my knowledge. Yes there is scholarship scheme of State government.

Campus might not be huge in area but its quite good. We have centralised AC and projectors in every classroom. We have a huge library with an excellent book collection. Wifi is available for 24*7. As far as the equipments in labs are concerned, they are new and are available for each and every student to learn individually.

Hostel infrastructure is really nice, they have both ac as well as non-ac rooms, they have rooms varying from four seaters to single seaters. We have a badminton court, basketball ground, volleyball ground, etc. in hostel premises and the best part is that distance between college building and hostel is just few metres. They have enough hostel rooms. And also they have separate building for first year students. And strict rules are followed to prevent ragging. Food is average. Its really very easy to avail hostel facility and in case someone wants to take a PG then he has to pay an average amount of Rs 85000 including food and all for one year.
