Remarks

well, i have gone to many colleges including VIT (chennai), satyabhama, bharat, etc. i found Hindustan is balanced for all. its not highly advanced like vit, not so big as satyabhama. but it is quite good. it has got good infrastructure, big and tech library, work shops are available, labs are pretty good, you can find more than 300 large tree, grounds, indoor stadium, separate buildings for each and every department. coming to my course im very much interested in mechanical which i found wrong while studying. but i like it though.

Course Curriculum Overview

aah. not so updated. but in the application based they are doing good. we have gone for 3 industries and once for sri harikota. some faculties are phenomenal and others are trying to be best. yeah DR. Priyadarshini (math), Dr T S Ravikumar (thermodynamics and thermal engineering), etc these prof are my favorite.

Internships Opportunities

i have done internship in vizag steel plant as a maintenance manager. i didnt get any stipend. it is totally 7 days of program. all we have to do is to check the devices and machines are working properly without any problem our senior in the plant explained carefully and thought well.

Placement Experience

3.5

placements for mechanical is not so easy but some other students are interested in placing in other areas. frankly companies for mechanical are less. i dont know about the famous startups taken by our department from our college as per my knowledge. As i know more people are interested in doing higher education in our department.

College Events

4.5

our college conducts cultural fest in the name of YARONA. previously it is used be on one day but they have taken to 3 days fest. it includes singing, dances, beat box, DJ nights, rain dance, fashion show and every time a famous band is invited to entertain students. technical fest like autobay, hackathon, etc are conducted by the respective departments. flash mobs are conducted as per students interests. students show lot of interest in these events. extracurricular activities like NCC and NSS are the major part of college. and we have 4 groups involved in racing on both offroad and on road. it is conducted by the students of mechanical and automobile. every year new students are elected though exam and interview based and prepares own vehicles for racing and last time the team called baja (baha) has reached 4rth place the racing held in the north side of india where iits nits and other famous colleges have participated.

Campus Life

it has got library, a complete building with 5 stairs. wifi available but not for free. equipment in the labs are fine enough. good maintenance is been taking. it has got 3 big grounds 1 for foot ball 1 for cricket and other games and last ground for hostellers. it has 1 medium sized indoor stadium with 2 courts for badminton and 3 table tennis sets are available. one tennis court is available. 3 basketball courts are available. 2 gyms are provided.

Hostel Facilities

no i have choose to stay out in a flat. they are bit expensive. they are 3 hostels for boys and 1 for girls. one is called galaxy, Venus and the other is international hostel. galaxy and venus are affordable but less attractive and less maintenance. but international hostels is solid but expensive. it has got gym, separate ground, waiting rooms, etc.

Placement Experience:

From the last previous semester, students can avail themselves of campus interviews. Students who have Harriers are not given opportunities because it's in the companies criteria. Cognizant, Zoho, Infosys, Wipro. Every year at least 10 students get selected. Average is 10,000-15,000 per month 10-15% of students getting placed. I plan to study for competitive exams like UPSC.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are decent, especially when one talks about its authenticity and compares it to a lot of colleges in the country. We are associated with some good names like EY, Asian Paints, SBI, Vedanta, etc. The mean and median hover around 8.5 - 9.5 LPA mark. Last Highest: 15 LPA and Lowest: 5.5 - 6lpa. Roles offered may not be the best, but they are decent too.
