PCACS is easily one of the most reputed top colleges in Mumbai, known not only for it's educational provisions but also for the diversity of activities and enthusiastic festivals. I opted for Bsc Biotechnology in this college only for this reason, because of this college's reputation and more promising extra-educational opportunities.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course syllabus in every semester is well updated, the department also providing good industrial exposure such as internships and courses. The biotechnology syllabus involves up to date study materials and laboratory exposure provided by the Biotechnology faculty. The Biotechnology faculty only lacked in several apparatus for laboratory experiments. The educators use modern teaching ways involving better interactive sessions and provide students a better platform to learn and expand. The faculty also provides additional courses, webinars and seminars so as to ensure students go through the best learning experience.
Placement Experience
The college has contacts with renowned companies every year, having a great many number of students placed. The placement process is smooth and well conducted. The placement department is a hard working one to be said, working their best to help fulfill every student's dreams. PCACS has many notable alumni, suggesting the promising career building opportunities it provides. Several start ups set up by the college students have been well appreciated all over India, putting the college amongst top 5 in student entrepreneurship.
College Events
Campus Life at PCACS probably is the best you can find out there. The exposure to a variety of festivals is extremely good, engaging a large amount of participation from students from all kinds of courses. The biggest festival, namely Alegria, is the reason for the college's fame, it being, if not the biggest, one of the biggest college festivals in India, involving renowned celebrities of India, even from abroad.
