Remarks

I joined this college because I heard very good about it. The labs are really very updated and advanced. The college has safe and free space for students. The college has good results in university exams.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is well planned and designed systematically. The university follows choice based credit system which is highly commendable and appreciable. The staff is also very supportive and all the faculty members are doctorates.

Class Size: 64Course Fees: INR 350000 per year

Placement Experience

The placement opportunities are not as much good. The number of off campus placements is comparitively higher as compared to on campus placements. Top companies have students placed from our college.

College Events

The campus life is very interesting. Their are very much opportunities for a person in Co curriculum activities. The college always outshines in Youth Festivals. Their is no biased celebration. All festivals are celebrated.

Life at Chandigarh University A CSE Student

Placement Experience:

As a BE Computer Science student at Chandigarh University, placements are decent but depend a lot on individual skills. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester, and most of the placement process happens in the 7th and 8th semesters. Many companies visit the campus every year like Microsoft, Amazon, Cognizant, Capgemini, TCS, Infosys, Wipro and some startups as well. There are a good number of offers made, especially from mass recruiters like TCS, Infosys and Cognizant. The highest package claimed by the university goes very high, even above 40 LPA, but those are for a very small number of students. Realistically, the average package for CSE students is around 5 to 7 LPA. Mass recruiters usually offer packages between 3 to 5 LPA. Around 70 to 80 percent of students get placed if they are consistent with coding and preparation. Those who depend only on college studies may find it harder due to high competition. The university also provides training for aptitude, coding tests and interviews which helps in preparation. After completing my degree, my plan is to get placed in a good product based company. At the same time, I am also focusing on improving my coding skills and working on projects so that I can aim for better opportunities or even higher studies if needed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

1) I want to go in construction industry so i chose this field. 2) Currently our college curriculum is updated so its relevant i will say around 70 to 80% . 3) For improvement Faculties should be brought from all over india as professors here are only concentrated from ludhiana itself. and labs are very old it should be upgraded. 5) In a semester there are 2 monthly exams and one end semester exam. 6) As far as difficuly level of exam is concerned it is not much difficult if someone solved PYQ thoroughly.

Ambition of College
