Remarks
VIT is a reputed and well-known college in the south and I have done my graduation from the same college so that was the first and foremost reason for me to take admission in VIT Secondly, my dad wad in railways and he got a posting in Vellore so I wanted to stay with my parents only becomes another reason And finally, the placements were good in VIT
Course Curriculum Overview
The course in industry-based and practical knowledge we get was enough to get a decent placement. Faculty members here are good but not up to the expectation. But students don't need to depend completely on faculty members. The course curriculum helps a lot as we did an internship for one year, which will be helpful to adapt to the industry. Students get the opportunity in the internship only and don't need to depend on the campus recruitment
Internships Opportunities
I did the internship in ACC cement for 4 months and my stipend was 6000 per month The college helped me to get this internship
Placement Experience
Placements in VIT are excellent for computer science and IT students. I joined this university because of its highly rated placements. But when I faced the situation, I realized that there is very little scope for placements of students from civil and mechanical engineering departments. Only 2-3 core companies visit the campus to hire the students of our branch. Otherwise, most of the students get placed in major IT companies like TCS, Cognizant, Infosys, and Wipro, etc. I suggest you don't choose departments like civil or mechanical or chemical or biotechnology departments in this college thinking that you can get a good placement. The average salary for all the placed students might be somewhere around 5-6 LPA. Around 15%-20% of the students get a salary package of around 8-10 LPA. As far as the internships are concerned, almost 25%-30% of the students went to do internships with stipends ranging from Rs. 10,000-25,000 per month.
College Events
The campus is always happening and 365 days some festival or some activity was going on for the students One thing I like about the college was that they always keep a positive environment for the female students and have good decency to behave
Campus Life
We have a very good infrastructure in the college with facilities like good Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, library, medical facilities, and sports and games. Compared to all other private colleges VIT is the best. There is always good support for academic projects
