Anonymous's Review On Aligarh Muslim University - [AMU], Aligarh

Aligarh Muslim University is a prestigious university with excellence in education and all round development,I am doing my B.A graduation from Abdulla Women's College of A.M.U which provide honours in B.A you can choose the subjects you like from Arts subject to Social Sciences.I particularly chose to do B.A for a better understanding of social sciences and arts subjects which will help me clearing various state and union civil services exam hopefully.

Our syllabus was not quite well updated i would say.We are provided exposure as various seminars and fest are often organised we have a politically active campus but being away from the main campus in women's college we also face some delay of events,but that doesn't bother much. My main subject is sociology and our sir and mam teach us in quite good way so i think Social science faculty is quite good.

The placement and job opportunities are quite good PHD students are recruited as as professors at various Universities provided their excellent knowlege,research scholars are also some times recruited as part time teacher at the University itself which provide for their practices.MBA is quite good an option for professional courses various startups are being started by MBA graduates where they work as a team.Joint ventures of alumni and graduates provide for job referrals and experience of the freshly graduates.

Our college holds various fest organised by various clubs at our university like Fine Arts Club organises its workshop,there is Film club,Western Music club and my favourite Literary club,all these clubs hold worshops,seminars and various celebrities are being called by the secretaries of our clubs.It is held in February every year.Voluteers are chosen,anyone can apply for participation.

Scholarship is given in the first year if you top the scholarship exam of your subject conducted by college.

Our infrastructure is well equipped we have wifi facilities for hostel residents.A big basketball ground,cricket ground and our college library is big enough to support a big number of students all at once.

Yes ofcourse I opted for hostel,which is not a hostel in general but a hall as we say it Abdullah hall,there is a goof facility for wifi and good food with so and so rooms as what a pulblic University can provide you.A very safe hostel for girls.
