Remarks
Historical importance of the college as it was a part of civil disobedience movement, great faculty, cooperative director, good engagement in extra-curricular activities, strong policies for discipline, great placement record.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course Curriculum is standard but not too modern which was the need but since AICTE has brought the changes in syllabus, for the coming generations it's good. For academics and Industrial exposure we were time and time again provides training and courses from DUCAT, students from Textile are even sent for training across the nation to understand the hardships of the job. Faculty here is brilliant and the strict HODs and Director keeps them on their toes too.
Internships Opportunities
I interned as a Marketing Intern for St. Xaviers High School during my 1st year, in my Pre-Final year, I interned for Coding Ninjas as their Marketing intern and campus ambassador, later on cracked interview for 6 companies (Jaro Education, Webware.io, ByJu's, Smartschool Education) before deciding to finally join SmartSchool for their B2B profile and friendly work environment.
Placement Experience
Considering other private colleges, really good. TPO and Placement coordinators are very determined to help students in every way possible. 80% of students were placed in good companies with opportunities to learn a lot and a good career.
College Events
Campus life is mediocre with annual events organised in hostels. Real excitement lies in extracurricular that are taken care of by a wide range of societies like The Orators Society (Managerial and Literary Society), The Ozone Society (Pseudo-Technical society), Dramatics (Cultural Society), Ed-Board (Editorial Society), TCS (Technical Society), Voyagers (Charitable Society), U-Create (Research Society), SOFT and Fine Arts (Societies for the students of Fashion and Apparel engineering).
Fees and Financial Aid
College offers scholarships to 2 toppers of the college every semester, 1 of my seniors was second topper of class and she was offered the scholarship and another one of my friends is university topper and she was also offered waiver over her semester fees. Also students loan can be easily availed by the banks.
Campus Life
WiFi, yes. Library- Decent, the college has three libraries one is central library, the second one is Textile Library and the third one is MBA Library. Central library is general with decent collection but Textile library has a massive range of Journals with details of all kinds of machinery. Labs are also decent. Not too modern but functionally useable.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel infrastructure for girls is very decent. Spacious rooms which are fully furnished with the options of AC as well as Non-AC, vigilance of supervisor and security guard 24*7 outside the gate. For boys, it's not that good. Actually the college building is really old and boys hostel was also build several years ago thus they are in serious need of Maintenance but useable enough. First year students are given roommates but second year and onwards live alone.
