Remarks

Cochin College was comparitively a good regular college in my home city. It is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. Good campus ambience with a friendly atmosphere to learn and explore our campus life.

Course Curriculum Overview

Bsc Chemistry curriculum intends to build a strong concept clarity through lab practical sessions. In the last two semesters the external examination includes the practical lab exams and an external viva. Faculty of the college are keen to make the students clear about the topics, support them and grow them.

Course Fees: INR 14000 per year

Placement Experience

Placements comes barely to the college, The only negative about the college is that there are no such placement opportunities offered to the students. All that is there is the job fairs that happen once or twice in a year where private firms visits the campus to recruit students. But the chances are still limited.

College Events

Campus life atmosphere is too good. We have two separate college buildings the Anex and the main building where all the regular batches are in. A good canteen and a centre auditorium for all events to be held. Union inaugration, Magazine release, Arts week and intercollegiate fests are the on campus events held with participation of students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Data Science is a rising field in computer science. It has lots of oppurtunities in todays world and easy compared to other fields, which made me choose data science. The curriculum consist of various computer programming languages including Python, R and so on which are vital in the field of data science. There are also experienced faculties for teaching of the programming languages. I personally felt that lab hours are not adequate and also the available hours are also not properly utitlised by some teachers. At the end of each semester we have exams and results are published soon as the exams are over, no lagging compared to other universitites.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
