I chose RVSCET because of its placement records, infrastructure, education and its popularity in Jharkhand. I considered computer science as my field because I am always into it. I am a coder. Also, this college has better opportunities for a computer science graduate.

The course curriculum is quite interesting although I don't understand why a computer engineer has to learn mechanics and circuits too. I mean there are few number of subjects related to computer science and in every semester, you'll get two-three subjects which don't belong to your stream. No, I didn't get any industrial exposure although other branches like ECE gets. Our faculties are quite skilled, and informative. They are so kind-hearted and helpful. Professors like Anjali Kumari, Smita Das, Jeevan Kumar, Sushant Mahanty, and many more are among the best.

Placement is good. Companies like NathCorp, Extramarks Education, Jaro Educations, Kirti Technologies, Tata Motors and many more have come for placement drive. Normally they look for software engineers and coders. Some look for marketing profiles too. Generally, each company selects 5-10 graduates as per their requirements. Our alumni network is quite strong. Many are placed in Wipro, TCS, Cognizant and many have sailed to abroad too.

Every year RVSCET has two big events, a techno-cultural fest and a sports meet. Both go on for three days. Participation from different colleges are also there. Cash rewards are also given. These 3 days are full of excitement and joy. Celebrities like Ash King and Kumar Sanu have come to RVS to perform. Apart from these, many small events also keep going.

Yes, I got 15% scholarship in the first year through RVS Medha. It varies on your results. Also, toppers get a 10% scholarship. Also, boys usually get 5% less scholarship than girls. 15% is the minimum you'll get. You can avail upto 75% scholarship. One can apply for E-Kalyan too.

Infrastructure is quite admiring. The campus has separate hostel facility for girls and boys, mess facility, canteen, ATM, shopping center, 24 hr electricity and water supply although during summers, there is a strict timing for water supply. The campus has sports stadiums for volleyball, basketball, football and badminton too. RVSCET has two huge grounds and of course racing tracks too. wi-fi is allotted by 2nd year and you must have a laptop. Library and labs are huge in itself. One can get a huge collection of books in library. Labs are also furnished with equipment and apparatus. Safety is the most prior thing. Labs are furnished with air conditioners too.

Hostel rooms are good, not that good but it is acceptable. It will be a three-seater room. You'll get an attached washroom, a chair and table, bed and a cupboard. Security is excellent. The whole campus is embedded with security cameras and guards. You can easily get one with a amount of Rs 30000 per annum.
