Remarks
Overall VIT is a good choice to make. You will be at least sure of a job in hand. Moreover, companies like CISCO, Microsoft, etc do visit campus and recruit paying in the range of 15 LPA. So go for it if you don't have any other decent options
Entrance Preview
I took the VITEEE exam and scored a 7364 Rank. I opted for Computer Science because I had a passion for coding.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is vast. Each semester you have to take up certain credits, mostly in the range of 20. in order to choose this much you have to opt for 5 -6 courses. You can choose any course if you did the pre-requisite courses if any. In electives, you can choose in a foreign language, some other stream core subject. There are a variety of options to choose from.

There is a wide variety of companies visit the campus. I was placed in CISCO systems and did my internship there. I was given 28700 RS per month as a stipend. In General, you can get a stipend varying from 10k-35k depending on the company you are interning.
Placement Experience
In general, VIT is known for placements. Every year a record is broken which was set by VIT itself. Almost everybody gets placed if you don't have any arrears. Package varies from as low as 2.5 LPA to 30 LPA. Yeah, companies like Directi and Amazon pay on the scale of 25-30 LPA. Other companies like Cisco, Microsoft, Paypal, etc pay in the range of 15 LPA. Fees and Financial Aid
In terms of scholarship, prize money of 16000 14000 12000 Rs will award to students securing 1st, 2nd and 3rd ranks in their respective branch. Also, 1000 rs will be awarded to students securing 4th to 10th Ranks in respective branches. Apart from this nothing else.
Campus Life
I think campus life is very cool. you can go out and party hard. it's just that you have to return well before in-time. For all guys out there, don't worry there are plenty of girls on the campus and vice versa. Apart from this, there are so many clubs and societies of which one can be a part. try to get enrolled in them. You will find students from entire India and the major population there is of North Indian students.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel rooms are good. You have a wide variety of options to choose like 6 bedded, 4 bedded, 2 bedded, 1 bedded. All of them are with the option of AC and NonAC. there are enough hostels to accommodate every student. The mess is also good. Based on your preference of veg, non-veg, south Indian, north Indian, you can choose any mess you want and the food also is nice. Hostels and mess- 60k per yr (on Average)In total it would cost you around 2 LPA including everything
Alumni/Alumna
Due to a large number of students, you hardly have interactions with the seniors until you try to approach them. You really have to work hard to have your connections with seniors.
Faculty
You will find the whole range of Faculty. Some very experienced ones and have deep insight into the subject. Some with just bookish knowledge, you will feel that you can teach better than them. The good thing with VIT is you can choose your faculties with the FFCS system. I will recommend you to choose the right faculty and focus on learning. Overall the standard of teaching is average as like other colleges.
