Remarks

This institution is considered to be one of the best institution for social work and is rated 1 in top 10 in India. Also, TISS is the first institution that started social work as a discipline, and has well experienced professionals.

Course Curriculum Overview

In terms of course curriculum, they focus on providing experience learning to us. Rather than by hearting concepts and writing exams, they give lots of assignments which require practical applications. Facilities were more like friends to us who provide experienced knowledge and support throughout.

Class Size: 20Course Fees: INR 100000 per year

Placement Experience

Although they provide great placement opportunities, i preferred to work in my home town itself. So i attended interview when i did my internship and got selected then itself. But most of my other friends got placement and few others joined for higher studies.

College Events

Since it a college mixed with people from varied state and culture, the institution celebrate all kind of festivals and important days. I remember onam celebration was a 10 days event and didn't gave a chance to miss home.

Campus Life

Well equipped facilities with library for each department, wifi availability through out the campus, college bus facilities for faculties and day scholars, hostels, canteen and cafeterias, refreshment centres etc

Placement Experience:

During my time the first company that visited our organization was Naukri.com, and feel proud to say that i got placed in the same organization. I am very happy with my placement. But talking about my peers. Number of companies who visited to our institute was compared to low as per our expectations. Majority of the companies who visited the institute were sales based organizations. Very less companies for finance and HR field. This made a difficult call for students.

AS FOR PLACEMENT , TNP TRIES REALLY HARD TO GET STUDENT PLACED. MULTIPLE COMPANY VISIT THE CAMPUS. NAMELY INFOSYS, ACCENTURE, COGNIZANT, TCS, CAPEGEMINI, AMDOCS, HCL, TECH MAHINDRA, ETC MULTUPLE APTITUDE ASSESMENT AND CODING ASSESMENT ARE CONDUCTED BY COMPANIES. MANY STUDENT GET PLACED AT AVERAGE OF 4.5 . OFFER ARE LIKE 3LPA, 3,5LPA.4,5LPA, 7LPA, MAX 9LPA OR THIS YEAR BUT STILL IN MY OPNION STUDENT ARE NOT PUTTING ENOUGH EFFORT IN THEIR PLACEMENT DRIVES AND HAVE VERY CASUAL ATTITUDE. SO PERCENTAGE IS AROUND 40% AND I'LL NOT BLAME COLLEGE FOR THIS PERCENTAGE ATLEAST NOT TNP, CUZ FOR SOME REASON STUDENT ARE CLEARING FAILING HERE

Talking about placements generally 3rd or 4th year students can apply for on campus placements. For companies you can the college website about companies, percentage placement, highest package, average package, median package, lowest package, etc. Also there are various options such as Mtech, MBA or abroad studies.

Once you got to know that they held those kinda functions over these years you can't resist and will participate in those functions.
