Remarks

The placements are best for Btech, other than this few courses like MBA, HM also have reasonably good placements. But courses like MCA need improvement in their placements.

Entrance Preview

Admission was on the basis of marks in graduation. So no entrance was given. I did BCA so I choose Master's in that field for post graduation. It is a reputed and famous college in Punjab.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is good but can be improved. More practical knowledge should be given to students rather than theoretical knowledge. Faculty is also good and supportive. Classes are regular and strictness is maintained.

Internships Opportunities

It was good. I arranged my internship of my own. Help is provided to students for internship but it is difficult for the college to provide internship to all students as strength is quite high.

Placement Experience

Placements for MCA are not upto the mark. Some good companies like IBM and wipro do come but the problem is they prefer Btech over MCA as placements are collaborative for both courses here. So quite less no. of the students of MCA are placed finally. Very few companies came for placement of MCA and packages offered are also not high. Most of the students find jobs of their own.

College Events

College festivals are good and fun to be part of. Faculty is also supportive to take part in these activities and workshops. They are well managed and great to be part of.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scolarship and loan, both the facilities are available. Loan tie-ups are there with SBI bank which are helpful. Scolarship is offered to students who secure above 80% in a semester.

Campus Life

Al the activities and infrastructure is good. All facilities like workshops, labs, park, sports etc are very good. Gender ratio is also well balanced.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel room is on sharing basis but the rooms and facilities provided are good. The seats are limited so its in first come first served basis. And the rent of hostel and pg's in surrounding areas are almost equal. So overall hostels are good and safe.

External Expense: Rs. 4000 - Rs. 7000

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are helpful, friendly and supportive. I took help from my senior Rahul Bajaj, he was very supportive and guided me throughout my course. The faculty is also supportive and helpful.

Placement Experience:

From the 2nd semester companies are started coming an MCA Stuendts can sit in placments first we have to register to the placments services for which we have to give Rs 10000 so that we can in placments or they also give extra classes for placement register students. Recently complanies like TCS ACCENTURE CAPGEMINI HAVE VISITED THE Camous they have offered packages from 4 to 8 lpa positions are Data Analyst and senior data analyst. The process is lengthy for placements in big companies but small companies have large packages and process of selection is small. Also some foreign countries like Japan third party also came up with a package of 24 lpa with good placement. Less students is get placed now but some will placed soon baised in efforts. I try to get placed soon and if I did not get placed from lpu I will try getting placed from outside by improving myself to get a good offer.
