Remarks

College and Hostel Campus is good but surrounding area is not clean. Hot temperature in the city.

Entrance Preview

No entrance was present at that time Best college in the Shivaji University at that time. Now it's Solapur University

Internships Opportunities

No idea about internship. But those are doing ME for those students gets 5000-10000 as a stipend for doing lecture ship for 2-3 hours. Other than this I did not heard any internship related info.

Placement Experience

Good placements & job opportunities: When I pass out at that time almost 40% places. More than 50 companies visited across all the branches: Computer, Mechanical, Electronics, IT, ENTC, CIvil. Now more than 50 % students placed.

College Events

Cultural: Ganpati, Intercollege compititions for the sports like Cricket, teble tennis, carrom, chess, football, Basket ball and Holley ball, Arts, Magzine publishing every year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Average fee for Engineering. Around 40000 to 80000 thousands as per engineering branches. Good hostel falility with average fee. Net connection and Hot water is available. Daily room cleaner facility.

Fees and Financial Aid

For top 5 ranker gets some kind of scholarship like free all books from library. Some concession from fee like that. No idea about any loan facility

Campus Life

There are good extracurricular like sports, competitions such as robotics, debates every year during the second semester. It good and gives the comparative experience.

Hostel Facilities

Good hostel falility with average fee. Separate Hoster for Boys and Girls Net connection and Hot water is available. Daily room cleaner facility. Mess: Average mess in the Hostel campus. Only Pure veg facility.

External Expense: Rs. 4000 - Rs. 7000

Alumni/Alumna

Most of the students of college are place on good position. They are missing college. Hostel days Mostly missing the college extracurricular cultural and sports activities

Exam Structure

Semester Pattern. Good labs and Work shopsPer person one computer in the lab. Good and clean lab Books are easily available.

Faculty

Faculty is good and experienced. Syllabus was provided as part of admission kit when you paid the fees. Faculty is easily available to guide to any project.

placements start in 7th - 8th semester . Companies like wipro cisco and TCs etc visit. Average package is 4-5 LPA , and highest I could say 9 to 10 LPA .. my plans would be- if not got high paying job on campus I will try off campus too..

Placement Experience:

In my college students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester and every year many companies come for hiring. Recently companies like TCS Accenture Cognizant Hitachi JSW Group Philips Axis Bank and some startups also visited so we get both IT and core chances. As per the latest data the highest package was around 24 LPA and the average stays around 6 to 6.5 LPA for most students and the lowest offers start from 3.5 LPA so it depends a lot on the role and company. Many students get placed but it mostly depends on skills performance and branch so it is not guaranteed for everyone. I feel the college gives decent chances but we also have to do our own preparation because competition is high. If I dont get placement from campus then I will try off campus also because there are many openings outside specially in IT. Overall placements are good for this level college and since companies keep coming for drives students who prepare properly usually get at least one offer.

SIT is best engineering college of Pune!!

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus.
