Very good experience

The college could have done lot better job with the decent play grounds, organizing debates, science events and transportation.

EAMCET. I got 66,000 rank. I chose this college as I was interested on Instrumentation and this was the only college offering.

Course curriculum was tough We shared many courses with Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics. Some of the courses I took are Prime movers , Digital signal processing, Solid state Physics, Electronics and Digital communications, Managerial Economics, network Communications etc etc.

None of us worked an Intership. College had limited internship opportunities. Most of the internship opportunities were aimed at computer science engineering and electrical engineering.

The job placements were very good. Most of the electrical and computer engineering got placed in Big IT companies. Instrumentation had fewer placements as we our course was very rare and not many companies in Hyderabad offered instrumentation jobs.

We had annual fest called Vignan Tarang conducted every spring for over three days. The event consisted of cultural programs, Skits, Dramas and food stalls. We always had a special guest come over and give a speech about life.

The fee was one time payment during the beginning of semester. The fee was Rs.22000 per annum when I was studying. It was still hard to pay for middle class families. I don't remember any installment based programs to pay semester fee.

The college didn't provide any loan facility nor did they informed us of any available loans outside the college. But top two students from the class got full fee waiver.

Our college(Mechanical) organized Robotics seminars every year during. Tarang annual festival where students from different colleges presented papers and their prototypes. College also conducted Cricket, Volleyball, basketball and football competitions between departments and gave prizes during the annual festival to the winners.

The alumni network of our college is not very strong. We had 5 year reunion and not many people showed up for the event. Some of the senior students are in contact with us on social networking sites. Sure Vignan can do a better job at having alumni events and collecting donations.

We had internals and externals. External comprised of 80% of the marks and Internals comprised of 20% of the marks. External is conducted once a semester and Internal is conducted 6 times a semester and averaged out.

Faculty standard was Decent. Most of the Faculty had either a PHD or a Masters. We also had visiting professors who shared their experiences working in companies.
