Course Curriculum Overview
The BMM course consists of complete basic education of media for first two years and then we can opt for specialisation in journalism or advertising. All the three years include complete practical as well as theoretical knowledge but main focus would be practical knowledge and more interactivity. We had 2 industrial visits every years.
Placement Experience
The placement for BMM is quite negative from our college side but our teachers keep on informing about all the possible vacancies in their contact.
College Events
Pillai alegria is annual festival of pillai college. It is one of the topmost college festivals of India. Our BMM department also has its own festival called Querencia - The media show. Our college encourages to participate in other college festivals as well. We also have cultural programs and various days in our college.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure for BMM is reasonable. It?s 22,000 per year. If someone does not meet the requirement of merit list they can also apply later by paying certain amount of donation fees. College does provide transparency in the fee break down as everything is mentioned in the receipt.

No, I haven?t opted for any scholarship or a loan. I got admission based on the merit list. I don?t have any idea about scholarship.
Campus Life
Our college has the best campus in Navi Mumbai with large infrastructure which includes gym, basketball court, tennis court, football ground, science labs, mechanical labs, architecture labs, computer labs, 4 libraries, mini museum. The sex ratio is high as there are More number of girls than the boys in every stream. The college environment has very friendly nature between everyone irrespective of gender, religion and financial status. Everyone gets a fair chance to showcase themselves.
Alumni/Alumna
Our alumni still provide helping hands for our college festivals. They often visit college to interact with the freshers and guide them.
Admission
College provides an offline application forms for 12th passed students. I got 79 % in 12th and my name was listed in the first merit list itself. The merit list was displayed soon after a week of submitting the offline form. Apart from quality education, Pillai college is known for its amazing campus, festivals and various activities therefore I chose this college for BMM.
Faculty
We usually had 4 lectures per day. 50 mins each. Our faculty had three main teachers specifically for BMM and other visiting faculties. The two main teachers of BMM were aged between 23-26 and our HOD was about 40 years old with 15 years of teaching experience. The main body consisted of these three teachers and they smoothly handled the entire BMm department. They arranged many certified courses and seminars for us and many interactive sessions with high profiled people from the media industry.
