Remarks

Nah, nothing. I just feel the fee is pretty much higher. Rest everything is cool.

Course Curriculum Overview

See now, mine is not a academic programme. Mine is a research driven programme. Where we do our research on various types of cancer. And in terms of that, my department and university is great. We have people working on all sorts of cancer here. You name a cancer, and you will find a student or professor working on it. So it?s great. I think when I will complete my PhD, I will be great with my feild that is oral cancer but as well as with other types of cancer. So that is the best part. It is interdisciplinary.

Placement Experience

4

I don?t know about that. Since mine is research oriented feild. I do research, I don?t have the option to opt for scholarships

College Events

4.5

Everybody knows amity has more than 1.5 lakh students in wide array of departments. So you can imagine the festivals it must be organising on vast scale. There is an instagram page of amity. Please do check that. Amity invites various hot shot bollywood celebrities, bands, singers, dancers from India as well as abroad. The participation is great. Everybody participates. There is sports, fashion, debate, dance, acting, writing and I can go on and on and on.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I think expensive on this terms. 50,000 per semester I guess is way to much for somebody doing PhD. Yes yes, about the transparency thing. Completely, it is very fair. In fact we have a portal known as amizone.net, where each students information is kept where the students and parents can see anytime they want

Fees and Financial Aid

No, I did not opt for any scholarships or fellowship here. Again As I said, i have a research based background not acdemics.

Campus Life

As mentioned above we have over 1.5lakh students studying. So all the above mentioned points are included here. Right from gender ratio we have both male female equal, the workshops and stuff are organised like on literally everyday basis. Students from all parts of india and even from abroad are here.

Hostel Facilities

No I did not opt for any hostels. I am from mumbai. I prefered staying at flat rather than hostel or pg.My flat is fully furnished and I don?t have any issues regarding the staying part. I did not prefer the hostel option.

Alumni/Alumna

I don?t have much idea about this. Since As researchers we don?t get time to interact much to the outside world.

Admission

Alright, I am a science freak. I always wanted to persue research in cancer and move further after my masters to PhD. Now why this college? Because amity has a special department for research exclusively that too on cancer known as amity institute of molecular medicine and stem cell research. And the HOI of this institution is Prof. (Dr.) B.C.Das also known as the father of HPV in india. He is an eminent scientist in the feild of cervical cancer. I have had been following him since masters. Additionally, the department I am enrolled here is simply great. Excellent level of research, great and positive environment, great campus. So what else do I need. I gave an entrance exam in 2017 june for my course of PhD ( cellular and molecular oncology). I got selected. Then I had a special interview round where the panel of eminent scientists were there. They asked me questions regarding my masters thesis and general question. After three days. I recieved a call that I have been shortlisted and I could my PhD. Yayyy :)

Faculty

4.5

Again, mine is research oriented institute. We have professors from cambridge, harward and what not. Every faculty is a great scientist in their specific domain. They have done PhD, post doc and have years and years of research experience with teaching along with research. And the best part is yes, I have had the opportunity to work in collaboration with an industry in order to produce a fruitful product on cancer for the society.

Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith - [MGKVP], Bachelor of Arts [BA] (Education)
Reviewed on Feb 17, 2026(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The BA curriculum in my college at Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith (MGKVP) for the 2025–2026 academic year is structured under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, making it academically comprehensive but traditionally theoretical. It follows a six-semester system that offers a wide range of subjects, from core Humanities (History, Political Science, Hindi) to modern electives and Vocational courses (e.g., Nutrition, Yoga, or Digital Literacy), providing students with a multidisciplinary framework. In terms of relevance, the syllabus is exceptionally well-suited for students aiming for government services and competitive exams (UPSC/UPPSC), as the depth of social science subjects mirrors the state and national civil service patterns. However, its professional comprehensiveness is lower; while the curriculum includes internal assessments, presentations, and project work to build soft skills, the actual delivery remains focused on rote learning and theory rather than industry-ready practical training. Consequently, the course is highly relevant for an academic or administrative career path but requires significant self-supplementation (internships or external skill-building) for those seeking immediate roles in the private sector.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Honestly speaking I don't like the curriculum of my college. Everything is same which people studied 20 years ago . Only few things has been changed and I don't understand why we need to study about things which don't have any existence in reality. They should focus on current tech and provide more learning opportunities in AI.
