Remarks

The fact that it is government college is enough to take admission. Besides in Nagpur, after VNIT only GCOEN is the government college. The placements here are fine. Since the college is established in 2016, my batch is the official 3rd batch of the college. As of 2020, the placements are okay.

Course Curriculum Overview

RTMNU syllabus is quite old. New technology can be learnt through self learning only. Various workshops are organised for students though. Study wise RTMNU is not a university to be chosen for BE degree!

Placement Experience

4

Companies like infocept, persistent have called for the campus placement. Other start up companies have also visited to hire the government college students. Apart from recruitments the entrepreneur cell of college is working hard for students.

College Events

4

GCOEN conducts 2 mega events, Adhyaaya - the technical event, Oranz- the cultural event. These events are organised by the student committee. Sfurti is another sports event which is also organised by the student committee members of gymkhana. These three events are mainly scheduled for the months of feb- march. Apart from that every branch has it's own event organised.

Campus Life

Infrastructure is not that great. 2 buildings with a ground which is not maintained on a monthly basis. The hygiene workers work hard to maintain the cleanliness. 10/10 points for them! The toiletries are cleaned on a daily basis. Classrooms and passages are also cleaned on a daily basis.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course culicurumes of collage of mangemnet of compter science , yavatmal is revalvent and provied good foundation in computer science concept. the curriculum is helpfiul for understanding theoretical concept and basic pratical skills. it prepares student for entry-lavel jobs and further studies like msc or mca, however ,it is more focused on traditionla topices and lacks exposure to morden technolokkgies such as cloud computing , data science, and advance fremworks which are importent in todays industry. the teachinf methods are mostly classroom- based with practical session in labs. overall, the curriculum is decent but needs update to match current industry demands.

The curriculum is extremely outdated. While NLU students are learning about law in thier first year itself, we have to wait till 3rd year for the same thing. A lot of students end up learning more at internships rather than at college
