My relatives suggest me that this University is better than any other in form of education and placements . He is also graduated from this University and got placement.

Course Curriculum Overview

After discussing with my parents my chose this course. The staff of civil department is not good as expected , they have staff which is graduated from their university or their alumni. Qualifications of staff is also btech graduated. Term exams system is very good , they take 3 ST exams before the main semester exam. So their is no difficulty in the final exam.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 140000 per year

Placement Experience

I don't think their are enough opportunities for civil and electronics students in job placements . Companies are called only for CSE students. Their are only 2-3 companies for civil students with package of 3- 3.5 lacs per annum. No. Of companies arrived are very less. Only 10% of students get placements. My plan is to finish degree and go for placements all by myself .

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is very costly , 70k for academics only + 45 k if you take accomodation ( hostel) . Scholarship are to those students who got first position in their particular department. Jobs opportunities are basically for CSE students not for other departments.

Campus Life

Life at campus is very good they organise fests every semester also the infrastructure is very good. Libraries provides us all the necessary information required of our classes . Sports events are organised every weekend . There are many social groups , clubs run by students like euphony music group , dance groups, NSS.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel are not upto the mark as per cost charged by them . Meal quality is not so good . They don't change menu so oftenly . There is slight change after 2-3 months in the menu of the hostel.

Hostel Fee: INR 45000 per year

Placement Experience:

Chandigarh-based companies or the startups, and training institutes come here. Companies like Meander Software, Bebo Technologies, Novem Control, BookingKoala - Sales Hungary, etc. companies come. Average package is 3.8 LPA, and 50% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is working in an IT company.

yes they povide placements. After 6th sem, means in 7th sem you are eligible for placement and apply for companies based on their requirements. Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon and many more visits every year. Highest is the PPO of 93 lakhs and placement of 60 lakhs. around 93% are placed who registers for placements Average CTC is around in between 18 to 22 lakhs

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

I applied for BML Munjal University before Chitkara university, Baddi. I got a confirmed admission from many colleges like BML munjal university, GNA university, Chandigarh university, etc. I chose this college over other because it was not too costly and crowd is less compared to other private universities.
