Remarks
I was interested in Biomedical Engineering and this was the only college in Mumbai with said course. The field helps me stay in a sector where I get to help people while working with products that aim to better people's lifestyle. The thing I like the most about my college are the people. They're all easy to get along with and there's quite a lot to learn from all of them. With our college being autonomous from this year, our course has improved giving us more space to think out of the box.
Course Curriculum Overview
Our course curriculum has been updated this very year, making it quite up to date with what's currently in demand. Whether or not we get industrial exposure is something I'll find out in the coming years. We've been informed that our course curriculum will be updated with regards to the latest developments in the field of Biomedical Engineering. Most of the faculties know what they're doing. Due to online lectures, however, some of them face issues in getting their point across.
Placement Experience
The companies that visit for my branch include Capgemini, Siemens and JP Morgan among others. I'm not aware of the profile offered. All the students that sit for placements get placed. However, most students opt for a postgraduate education. Our alumni networking is quite good.
College Events
We have 1 college festival (Trinity) which is a culmination of technical, cultural and sports events. The few events that we got to organize this year before the lockdown drew quite a crowd. The main attraction of the event (concert) could not be organized due to the COVID-19 situation. However, I have heard it attracts a crowd of about 1000-1500 people.
Campus Life
Our college has a well equipped library, WiFi (which we don't have access to), smartboards in each classroom, proper equipment in the labs and a gym (which I've never seen anyone use). We have 2 lifts and biometric system installed at the entrance. We have a cafeteria with above average food and a wide variety in the menu (most of which is not available).
