I was always interested in indian rich crafts, wanted to help the artisans and promote the Indian arts and crafts in the fashion industry. I enrolled for NIFT but the ranking was not good enough for a general category student so I checked for other government colleges and I found about IICD and got know things from Seniors etc about IICD.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course syllabus is just NID. In first year you are given exposure with Artisans and workers who make crafts. The faculties are supportive and cooperative and they are all from very good College like NIFT and NID, many visting faculty also come from time to time. Miss Sumita,
Placement Experience
I am a foundation year student don't know much about the future system but IICD has a brand name in it's field because it's the only College in India which centralised and focuses on craft sector. My senior got places most of them in a known company lika tata, fab India etc
College Events
Campus Life is soothing as it is in Aravali hills. College support all the cultural activities and makes you participate of wan to in different competitiond. All the festivals are celebrated. All students who wants are welcome to participate. It is organised in the college campus and enough for the students scale. The festivals are all organised and Handel by students and funded by College.
Fees and Financial Aid
Ambuja gives scholarship and may be loans also. But the Scholarship structure is quite complicated you have to give so many documents for availing it.the Scholarship is based upon you accademic marks in every semester.
Campus Life
Wi-Fi is given in college campus and hostel, 3 floor building with lift. Infrastructure for every department is there in the college.library is big and enough for the scale of students study. All the technical and digital gadgets, tools, infrastructure are available. But lacks blocks and some permanent colours.
Hostel Facilities
Ac rooms are available and non AC too, all the seaters are available till 4 seaters. There are two hostel one in the campus and one which is newly made is out somewhere. The campus one is 3 floored and is quite nice and the mess food is good as compared to other colleges. Even in hostel we get induction facity in every floor. No. Of bathroom are enough.12 in every floor except washrooms.
