I gave Maharastra CET exam for getting admission into Thakur engineering college. 2004 was the first year in which CET was implemented. I had scored 117 on 150 in the CET exam. I chose Electronics and telecommunication as i had good interest into this field.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum was a bit outdated which was the same throughout mumbai university. It included subjects around 44 subjects in all.some of the subjects where TV,Electronics 1,electronics 2,maths,electrical networks,electromagnetic waves etc.
Internships Opportunities
Our college do not provide Internship facility. Companies generally come for campus placements in the fifth or the 6th semester.Conduct the set process by it to select the candidate.
Placement Experience
During our time companies which had come for placements wereinfosys, l&t ,tech mahindra ,mastek. Infosys took 55 people, L&t -38, Tech Mahindra-25,Mastek -10. Average package was -3 Lakhs per annum.
College Events
Technical and cultural festivals were held ear year. Good number of students participated in the events. All the publicity of the events was done of decent level.Students from other colleges were also invited for and they turned up in good numbers.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Initially it was less around 36kin the second year it was 45kthird year -62 kfour year -71kThey used our fees for infrastructure development and maintainence.
Fees and Financial Aid
No scolarship was provided to any student.But yes students which were under the SC/ST category,entire fees wasreturned to them with interest on the paid fees.
Exam Structure
Exams and labs were as per the time table. Everything moved at the stedy pace so it was not so hectic. Yes but completing Lab assignments was a time consuming task.
Faculty
Faulty was excellent.All the subjects through out the curriculum was taken care off by expert teachers .All the equipments required for the explanation where excellent condition which helped us in understanding the core information.
