Course Curriculum Overview

The bachelor of Science in Chemistry course is for three years. We had to give one semester in every six months. There were total six semesters in the entire course. The syllabus was very well structured and informative. Our professors had always focused on practical studies than theoretical works, which made learning interesting for us.

Placement Experience

We had got decent placement offers from our college. Many of the students in our batch got placed in several multinational companies. TCS, WIPRO, HCL had visited our college during the placement program. We were also offered satisfactory salary.

Fee Structure And Facilities

My entire course fees was around 7,100 rupees. We had to pay the fees on yearly basis. This fees included the tuition fees, examination fees and all the other fees. We did not need to pay the fees separately. The fees was extremely economic and affordable for all the students.

Campus Life

Our college laboratories were very well equipped with all the modern facilities and instruments, that were required for our studies. Our college had a very nice library. We had good wi-fi connection in our college.

Alumni/Alumna

I had some amazing seniors. They were very supportive and helpful to us. They had also arranged a very warm welcome party for us in our first year of college. They had helped us in our academics by sharing their study materials with us. I'm still in touch with some of my seniors.

Admission

After completing my higher secondary board examination with quite good percentage, I had applied through online for this course, in this college. The college had prepared a merit list and a counselling session on the basis of our higher secondary examination. I got the admission after the counselling session.

Faculty

Our professors were highly qualified and had very good command over their respective subjects. Their teaching quality was very impressive. They were very supportive and helpful to all the students. They had helped us in our academics in every way possible.

I heard it from seniors that before lockdown it was pretty decent but after lockdown the company visits are not that much comapred to before lockdown.Cognizent, Accenture, Mindtree, PQ360 which is a startup company of our senior alumni etc. visits.

The placement record in my college is preety good. 80-90% students are already placed this year. Average package is around 9.5lpa. Companies like ICICI, KPMG, PWC, Vedanta, Mother Dairy and so many are coming for recuiting students.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placement in cse, it ,ece and sometimes elec branches. The others dpt also offers a quite unique variety of placements from different companies. Nearly 60 percent of the students have been placed in this year and others are still on board for a positive response.
