Remarks

My time in the college was well-spent with my friend circle and full attention on academics. And the college is affiliated to Calcutta University, so that is an added plus. We did not have much exposure and that was expected, so not many complaints.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is as per the standards of Calcutta University. So we were taught Indian and global history of the three ages. In the third year, we had to choose from a given list of electives. The exam is conducted after the end of every semester.

Placement Experience

There were no placement opportunities, especially in my course. And to be honest, I had not really expected placements after History Hons. I wanted to pursue higher education, and so did most of my classmates, and some opted to go for government competitions.

Fee Structure And Facilities

With about three thousand rupees per year, the fee structure is more than affordable. The university also offers some scholarships and you can apply for that, but most of us survived the low charges all right.

Campus Life

The college is pretty limited when it comes to extracurricular activities. We did a few cultural and sports events, and that was it. We had access to the library, which was just fine. The campus is inviting, and really just focused on academics.

Admission

I had applied from the official website, and then waited for the merit list. The college generally publishes two to three merit lists. My name had appeared in the first one, so I reported with my documents and was admitted.

Faculty

The faculty is very basic, and we were taught mainly by ad-hoc teachers, who were good and hard-working. There were regular lectures, but not much apart from the regular classroom teaching. Most of the lectures were outsourced.

The placement performance in my college is average few student get decent placement otherwise many sales company come and took the student .Around 30 percent student in my class got placement by college other strudents get placed by thereselves there is no role of placement and training department in this.

Shaping My Future: A Comprehensive Review of College Life and Academics

Placement Experience:

After 7th semester companies started coming and there is different criteria for different companies like some company have criteria for more then 8.5 cgpa will be able to seat only in their placement conducting it is totally based on company preferences. The highest package was 9 lpa and average package was 3 lpa. Around 60 percent student get placed in my department.

Companies started coming around 7 th semester there is different criteria for different companies like you have more tan nine cgpa then you are eligible for that particular company. Around 50 percent people in my class get placed . Companies like TCS ,wipro EY are mass hiring company.

The life in HITK

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placement in cse, it ,ece and sometimes elec branches. The others dpt also offers a quite unique variety of placements from different companies. Nearly 60 percent of the students have been placed in this year and others are still on board for a positive response.
