Course Curriculum Overview
The course is for 3 years.The syllabus for the course is very compact and very well arranged into 6 semesters. We are taught about the History of Bengali Literature, various notable dramas, poems, novels. We even have Detective novels and short stories in our syllabus.
Placement Experience
Some of the best companies visited our colleges to provide us with jobs and internships. Our college also had a separate placement cell where we were taught how to present ourselves in a interview. I also once applied for an internship in my 2nd year of college.
College Events
Various cultural events were arranged like many Pujas and Foundation days. Many seminars related to health were arranged by NSS section of our college.Every year a career counselling meeting is also held to benefit the students.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Our fees was nominal. We were charged Rs 1965 per semester. This fee include tuition fee, infrastructure fee, Library fee, Registration fee and C.U Examination fee and all other charges. No other fee was charged from the students.
Fees and Financial Aid
Our college provides many scholarships to students who deserve them. Such scholarships have even helped one of my friends to complete her education and today she working for a renowned private firm. Even students can apply for various scholarships which are government sponsored.
Campus Life
Every year our college organises Annual Sports. Both students and teachers participate in the games and events. Apart from that various seminars and cultural programs are arranged by various departments of the college.
Admission
I applied to the college online for the B.A(Hons)in Bengali course. In the online form I had to fill in all the documents and the marks of my secondary and higher secondary examination. Then, the college released its 1st merit list at the prestated date. My name was there in the the 1st merit list, so, I went for the counselling session. Later that day, I took my admission.
Faculty
The Bengali department professors were highly qualified and very helpful. Their lectures were the sole reason of our good marks. They were always there to solve our doubts and even took regular tests to judge our performance.
