Course Curriculum Overview

Bachelor's in Geography is a three-year course which gives detailed knowledge about the topography and natural habitat of every area. (I was just giving a rough idea, visit the college website for more details about the subject).

Placement Experience

The college has a chance for improvement when it comes to internship or job opportunities, the academics are pretty great but there is a lot that placement cell has to work on. However, one can always indulge in researches and look for an off-campus opportunity.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The college charges 1500 INR annually and as the course is for three years the total fee is 4500 INR. The fee is quite feasible as it is a government college, although you will have to pay a little sum of money for functions occasionally.

Campus Life

The college hosts many events like Saraswati puja, the fresher's party is literally crazy, we bond with other freshers to start a beautiful journey for three years. The college has great infrastructure as well.

Admission

The college allots its seats on merit basis, I filled an online application form and waited for a couple of days. After a few weeks, I got a call and an official email from the college regarding my selection and was requested to visit the college with the required documents

Faculty

4.5

The professors are fun-loving, they maintain a balance between academics and extracurricular activity. The professors hold at least master's degree in their area of expertise, some of the professors even have a P.hD degree.

Placements in NIT Agartala are actually decent, especially for the top branches like CSE, IT, ECE, Mechanical, and Electrical. Every year many companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, L&T, Capgemini, Deloitte, Microsoft, etc. visit the campus. The average package is around 7–8 LPA for CSE/ECE, while core branches get slightly lower, and the highest goes up to 40+ LPA in some years. For other branches like Civil, Chemical, and Production, the placements are a bit lower, but students still manage through campus plus off-campus drives. What I like is that the placement cell is active, and we also get internship opportunities in our 3rd year which help us prepare.
