Research in Microbiology

I can proudly say that I am lucky to have been a part of this university which has helped shape my career and made me who I am today. I am able to continue my career as a researcher due to the motivation that I have received from my guides and the faculties of the college.

The course for research in microbiology consisted mostly of research work that was conducted by a students. We had guides who helped us for the same but most of the work was done by us. There were also certain theory classes that were taken by the faculties which were to help us in completing the project successfully.

I've always wanted to continue in the field of research even after completing my PhD hence I did not pay much attention to organizational job opportunities. My career goal was to become a researcher and this is why I used to take help from my teachers and ask them different ways to fulfill my career goal.

The fee structure given for 3 years is Rs. 2.82 lakhs. However, this was not the total fee structure and students would have to pay for each year that they conducted their research. This amount was decided by the college and would be conveyed to the students at the beginning of the course.

Students in the Ph.D. course did not find much time to engage themselves in extra-curricular activities since fever always busy and eager to finish our research work within a given time frame. There were many celebrations that happened in college and we used to be a part of some of them.

I have always wanted to carry on with my studies even after completing my post-graduation. I applied for research work for a PhD in microbiology after finishing my post-graduation in the same subject.

The guides and the faculties who were a part of this course where is very helpful and make sure that we were able to conduct the research by ourselves without facing many obstructions. They also conducted the theory classes in such a way that it had a great impact while conducting our practicals.
