The college, through its course of MD in General Medicine caters to general medical problems & medical emergencies. It provides all necessary equipment as well as amenities for a healthy learning and aim to make the students competent.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum aims to promote the best in medical education and to produce doctors with global standards. It is one of the key departments among clinical specialties and involves general clinics, specialty clinics, subject seminars, Journal clubs & CPCs.
Placement Experience
Students of MD in all fields are posted in specialties in second year of residency on rotation to Cardiology, Neurology, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Medical Oncology, Chest medicine and Psychiatry.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The course is for a duration of 3 years and the fee for 1 year of the course is ?7.61 Lakhs. The fee is quite a lot and not feasible for every student, although, the college does provide equally good facilities.
Campus Life
The college is known to conduct regular CMEs, conferences and post-graduate clinics. Separate classrooms with HD monitors and projectors are provided for the students for a better learning,, besides the regular lecture halls.
Hostel Facilities
Separate hostel facilities are available for boys and girls. Essential furniture such as a bed, study table, chair and cupboard is provided for each student. Hostels are equipped with the well maintained reading room, Recreation Room and Indoor Game Facility.
Admission
To be eligible to sit for the entrance exam, the candidate must be an MBBS Graduate. The annual intake for the MD in General Medicine course is 60. The candidate has to give the NEET PG exam to gain admission in our college.
Faculty
The college has excellent faculty and consists of 43 skilled faculty members of different experience levels. The dept of medicine is one of the largest departments in KMC and has expert professors with outstanding proficiency.
