Course Curriculum Overview

4

I had a passion for science since 5th STD or smtg, because we get to learn so many things about the human body and medical especially, though it is difficult, it inculcates interest into every individual Out curriculum is based on CBME which is basically Competency Based Medical Education where there are specific competencies in every subject for which we're given training and lectures are taken for us to get learn those topics and be thorough with the concepts Tamilnadu University conduct the exams every year, and till now, all the exams were set at a pretty good standard, they were not too difficult, and the correction also has been done in a fair manner I feel the curriculum can improve in segregating the portion between paper 1 and paper 2 for the university exams and avoid the confusion created during exams

Internships Opportunities

5

We have to work as an intern in the college medical hospital, and we are given a stipend of ?5000 every month We need to pay the tution fee of 4 lakh alone, not the other fees for the internship period We are not sent to other companies or hospitals for internship We have great exposure to the various no. Of patients who come to the hospital everyday and we trained about every skill that is necessary for us to learn It is very interesting to learn skills in internship

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fees 400000 Caution fees 10000 Registration fee 25000 Lab, uniform, books 75000 Hostel and food 150000 For government quota For management: 13+1.5 lakhs for hostel For NRI quota 25 lakh per year

Campus Life

5

Kmch has a yearly cultural event called THIRAN where students from all the years take part and it is held around October to December and it is very amazing, they provide us with great food only on that day???? Kmch has a vast Library, the seating in the library is seriously world class, it is very well maintained and the books are available throughout the day, all subjects books are available and of all authors, the books are arranged in an alphabetical order according to the subject, hence it is very helpful for students to take books The book borrowing system I've never seen such technology anywhere else..it is simply amazing.. A sports day is conducted every year called THiRAL where talented students from our college showcase their talents, and they win prizes and certificate, sports include cricket, volley ball, football, basketball, koko carrom, badminton shot put..

Hostel Facilities

5

In the room, I live in a triple sharing room for which I pay 1.5 lakhs with food We have 3 tubelights, 2 fans, 3 desks and 3 cupboards for keeping clothes 3 compartments for keeping stationary, a mirror and a shoe stand, I must say the rooms are very neat for the money we pay. The quality of the food is very good, but slightly oily, and we get dosa idly poha pongal Vada for breakfast, rice chapathi buttermilk curd sabzi curry for lunch For dinner, chapathi dosa, chicken is served 3 times in a week Every Sunday, we get chicken biryani and vanilla icecream..which is amazing The hostel registration is also on the same day as the college admission, we just need to fill a form, give a passport size photo and pay the fees through online transfer using NEFT It is not very affordable, hence many students live in PGs around the college, there are many good options for PGs near the college, but I stay in the college hostel

Admission

I applied to many government medical colleges, but my marks were a bit low for my category, hence i did not get placed in a govt. College, however kmch is a very good private college, and I feel choosing kmch is much better than going to a govt. College as the infrastructure here is amazing For taking admission in kmch, coimbatore We need to: ° clear NEET UG and score marks above the cutoff ° attend the certificate verification and make sure the community certificate and nativity certificate is there ° the cutoff is generally high for government quota ° once certificates are checked, then admission is done

Faculty

In first year, sudha ma'am was very good, she really made me understand anatomy well. There are almost 10 teachers in every department, they teach really well, making sure all 150 students understand everything Exams are conducted every week, and they are set at an average level, it is corrected and we have a separate feedback session after the exams, which I think is very helpful for the students. Few teachers,.whom I don't like, they just come to the class, read the PPT and leave, they just don't put any efforts to teach

Night Life

2

There's a gym available, one in each hostel, separate for girls and boys, it has machines for cardio as well as weights for weight training There are 2 cafeteria in the college hospital, where you get snacks like puff, samosa, coffee and tea And 1 canteen where you get South Indian and North India items, the food quality is good. Library is vast with the best quality books There is separate hostel for girls and boys, and the curfew time is around 8:30 pm, but students who go to library can come back at 10:00 pm The hostel even has a vending machine where we can get snacks for cheaper price. The hostel has carrom play area, gym and a table tennis table, and a huge lawn for playing badminton within the hostel..it is very fun We are not allowed to go out after the curfew time, so basically hostel students have no night life, but at times some students sneak out and get out of the hostel, which is not safe as there are many cameras around and there are chances that they might get caugh
