Every department in the Institute provides the students with academic, extracurricular and other resources to help them to know more about the engineering principles and apply the same with real applications. The students are encouraged to take part in all academic activities in the college to gain more practical knowledge.

The college has good and remarkable placement record. Students are also send for in-plant trainings and internship to companies on a regular basis. Those companies also provides the students with good stipend.

There are many extra curricular activities like the sports events carried out every year for students to also enjoy their college days amidst studying. Sports such as basketball, football etc are available for the boys. Several team members are coordinated under a coach. To apply for the admission in National Power Training Institute one has to apply for a course listed in the prospectus, the completed application should be submitted to the admission unit. Candidates who are selected for the admission will be asked to submit their original certificates. Upon fulfilling the admission formalities the students can join the college on the date specified.

Every staff member including the head of the management is very responsible in bringing up the students. They do everything to make the student succeed in all their activities. Most of the staffs have completed their doctorate in their specialized field.
