Review on B.Sc in Forestry

The college has well-equipped laboratories, library, lecture rooms and excellent farm facility to conduct agricultural experiments. College provides experiential learning facilities, exposure to commercial farms etc. College also focuses a lot on pratical knowledge and students of forestry has to go through such practical tasks and projects which makes it very easy to understand the concepts and develop a deep knowledge of the subjects.

It is 4 year under graduate degree in the domain of agricultural studies. The course aims at providing knowledge about disciplines of agriculture, veterinary science, forestry, fisheries, home science etc. The subjects in this course are designed in such a way that student grasp all the knowledge related to agricultural and environmental science. The course has various specialization for students. Study tours, field trips, experience earning course etc are also present in some semesters. Overall the course is chill and for nature lovers.

Placements are so good in our college as well as in our course. Lots of government jobs as well as private jobs are offered to graduates. Many reputed companies like Dupont India Ltd., Mahyco Seeds Ltd., Bayer crop science, Simitono etc visit our campus for placement and select students. I too got my job in Oriental Bank of Commerce as a Agriculture loan officer through college placement. Some of my batchmates are earning well in R&D sector. We all are earning around 7 - 12 LPA which is a good amount. Students who are passionate about reading and writing they can also opt for agricultural journalism.

The total fees is INR 1,69,000 for 4 year course in agriculture. Overall the fees is not immoderate. Students can pay their fees in four installments year wise. The college provides good education and facilities which worth this amount.

Extracurricular activities like nukkad natak, dance competition, awareness programmes, plays, planting trees, seminars and conferences, sports activities are organised by our college. Students from other colleges are also participated in these activities and entertain us. These all activities create awareness in peoples as well as give chance to showcase our talents.

I opted B.Sc in forestry as this course provides deep knowledge in agriculture and after the completion of degree, students can become a successful Agriculture scientist or forest officer. I got admission in this course by qualifying UPCATET examination followed by counselling. After identification and documentation process i got enrolled for the course.

Faculties are so helpful and supportive. They all are passionate about nature and always involved in some researches related to nature or agriculture. Teacher focuses on practical knowledge more than theortical. They all taught us in a very easy and reliable way. They also tell us about extra things about nature for our knowledge.
