The admission process of Ab-initio to CPL course in B.Sc.(Aviation) starts in the month of April every year. The admission procedure is based on the Online Written Test, Personal Interview, and Pilot Aptitude Test. The college offers the course to 100 students. Brief about the registration procedure IGRUA B.Sc. Aviation course is given below:
Step 1: Visit the official website (www.igrua.gov.in)
Step 2: Click on 'Entrance' tab and select ‘Registration for New Users
Step 3: Enter all the required details in fields provided and Submit
Step 4: You will be issued the required credentials for future login sessions
Step 5: After logging in again, upload the required documents (recent pp-size photograph and a valid signature
Step 6: Make the required payment of INR 10,000. (The fee for SC/ST candidates are exempted)
Modes of Payment: Online (Debit/ Credit card/ Netbanking) or offline (via Challan can be submitted to any nearby branch of SBI).
Note: Post-filling the application form, keep the issued application number, password, payment receipt, and SMS safely for future references.
The admission or the selection procedure is divided into three parts viz.
Part 1: Online Written Test: IGRUA entrance test is conducted in the first week of June. Candidates are allotted the test center as per their preference order mentioned at the time of registration. The exam has - Maths, Physics, Reasoning, General English, and Current affairs of up to class 12th level. Candidates will be shortlisted as per IGRUA Cutoffs, SC/ST/EW/OBC aspirants will be provided with 5% relaxation in the cutoff.
Part 2: Personal Interview: shortlisted candidates have to appear for a face to face interview. The questions are generally related to a candidate's background, interest, and the course. It is mandatory to carry and submit all the documents after the interview concludes.
Part 3: Pilot Aptitude Test: Only successful applicants will be called for the aptitude test. The test analysis and evaluates on mental capabilities and behavioral technique. After the final selection, the qualifiers must pay INR 12,000 to secure their seats.
Note: There is no relaxation for any category in part two and three. Commitment money is non-refundable but flexible against the total fee.

Getting admission is easy as this course can only be selected by the students who is wishing to pursue a pilot license from IGRUA. Only non graduates are allowed to opt for the course. There are around 25 seats per year where you get selected on basis of the merit of class 12. You just have to visit the degree cell where just fill out the form given by them. I have selected this course for the sake of degree as I didn't hold any, I didn't apply for any degree elsewhere.

There are various courses available, these are Hospitality Management, Airport Management, Commercial Pilot Licence (1 year approx.), Air Ticketing and Travel Management, and Pilot Ground Classes (5 months). All the courses are very well taught with proper distribution of subjects and practical in-flight training.

The courses offered to avail CPL are air navigation, flight planning, aviation meteorology, air frames & engines, air regulation, RTR cockpit resource management and air films. The curriculum also includes ground trainings, computer-based trainings. The total class hours for flying training are about 200 hours.
They have a very well structured course curriculum in the Academy. They train you well fly a plane and also prepare you for the emergency situations likw hijacks or crash. The exams are held after you finished it raining and there are oral and written assessment.
The Course curriculum is very good. There is a lot of practice and time spent on the field and the prepare you well so that you can learn how to actually fly a plane. There are ground trainings and flight training and you have to give oral and written examination.
