The placement opportunities are very good because college is a prestigious college in the field of forestry. FRI offers four courses which are unique masters course, i.e., masters in forestry, wood science, and technology, the environment management, cellulose, and paper technology .

From the Beginning of starting, College carries out Freshers party to Welcome all the Freshers and to make the Environment of Campus friendly to the Wild Life Week, Environment Day, Forest Day Etc Sports meet is also carried out which remains for 15-16 days in which Various Sports events like Table Tennis, Cricket, Badminton, etc.

The Admission in M.Sc Program in this college requires the student to pass a Bachelor degree from a recognized university, entrance test forms are available at the campus as well as online to the selection is based on combining academics and test score seat is allotted.

The Forest Research Institute is one of the best institutes. Those lecturers who teach are the specialists in the field as well as the scientist in respective divisions. In this college, there is 1 scientist/lecture for every 4 students. Scientist shares lots of field knowledge with us.
