Course Curriculum Overview

Being fond of studying business rather than rushing into it was what I opted for and I'm glad I chose to be mentored by this college. B.B.A as a subject is diverse, from communication skills to crisis management, one should be prepared for most of the things impromptu while pursuing the course. The exam consists of questions that will test your Quantitative aptitude, Logical Reasoning, Elementary English, and General Knowledge. The exam is usually very easy to crack as the competition is not much.

Placement Experience

2.5

Personal suggestion, keep looking for placements off campus as well. Although the college does provide placements but they are mostly in infamous firms. I graduated in 2018 when the number of students were way too much as compares to the companies visiting for placements. Good companies hire top 3 students with excellent work background and experiences. The college provides internships as well but again, if you are looking to intern with reputed organisations, keep searching online. I did my internship in Oyo as a HR which was off campus, I visited their website and searched for jobs, hence, I suggest to go for off campus internships.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The total amount sums up to 60,000 INR for all 3 years. It was a bit expensive as compared to other universities in Allahabad, my friends did their B.B.A from the University of Allahabad in 40,000 INR. (The fees changes every year)

Campus Life

The infrastructure of the college was not something that would leave you in awe, the isolated ground was the place where my pals and I used to hang out a lot, the classes were small yet the learning was sufficient.

Admission

NGBU is a reputed college in Allahabad. As a resident of Allahabad, I visited the college to get the details regarding the admission, however, if you are applying from a different city, you may opt for the online application process. Different courses have different criteria for admission. I have pursued B.B.A from the university and the admission process starts with filling a form and appearing for an entrance examination.

Faculty

4

I believe the faculty lays the foundation of any organisation. Now, this may sound a little off but if you are looking for a top-class ambiance with the main language as English, you must keep your expectations down. The faculty is great, some of the professors will be strict while some of them will be very lenient, the HOD pays equal attention on the development of every child. (Brownie points if you are a good performer.

Placement Experience:

Form the beginning of very first year students are eligible for the campus placements. TCS, cognizant, wipro, are the some companies visited here. Highest package is 44 lpa in amazon which is off campus for software role. Placements % is quite medium if you are serious about skill then you will be get a path here to go ahead. Arround 60 to 70 is the placement % My plans after getting degree is to get a job.

Placement Experience:

No companies as here only lawyers of arbitration and other domains come to hire students. Most students though have PPO from their interning companies but not real 10-20 LPA placements for Galgotias and that i wish change because our university academics and the kind of learning that is provided is at par with that of NLUs.

Placement Experience:

Packages aren't as good or big as NLUs as 4-5 lakhs is median and just 25% students gets placements from University. Most students though go for litigation and I am also going to do the same as this is how I want to build my career and take it forward. Even LLM is also an option and GLA University is the one from where I will do, if I plan to do masters.

Placement Experience:

Average package at GLA University may range between 5-7 lakhs but one student has managed to get placements of 55 lakhs and that is still the record placement from GLA University campus Mathura. Around 70-75% students are placed every year but I will be preparing for GATE as my ambition are to be atleast post graduate if not a PHD.

Amity University, Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (Economics)
Reviewed on Nov 15, 2024(Enrolled 2018)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum at Amity University is a well rounded blend of theortical principles and practical relevance that shaped my future career. There are modules like microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics and statistics that provide a strong formation for any future career opportunities in economics or finance. Additionally the presence of specialise subject like health economics, developmental economics, international trade, public policy and behavioural economics very highly appealing and something you would not find in other universities or/and government university. The inclusion of such modules got my attention because it promised to go beyond traditional economic subjects and focusing on the practical subjects that are also industry specific level of domain of economics. They were also research projects, data analysis classes, case studies throughout the three year course which allows students to apply and test their knoweldge that further enhance the value of the degree. There were also subjects like environmental sciences, psychology, communicative English which was made mandatory for students that help them shape their personality and adapt more to a corporate setting. The examination system is designed to assess the viability of skills and critically but the difficulty of exam especially towards the end of semester can create unnecessary pressure for students. There will be time that there will be last minute syllabus changes or additional chapters to be considered and there is no structured format of what you can expect in the written exam however there is a fair grading system though some students feel that instead of the exams there can be more emphasis on analytical side rather than modules that require rote learning.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Overall curriculum was good that they make proper schedules of classes and all but there was something lacking is that sometimes the professor was absent and we wasn't aware about that and sitting in that class without knowing they should inform us or make a proper arrangement for replacing of class with other teacher and also there was lacking of technology in studies I didn't remember how many times they used the projector for proper teaching.
