Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course as it was much research-oriented and mainly on the field. We did some research on the field and understood it deeply at the lectures. Also, the institute conducted exams for every subject we had in two main parts of internals and externals based on which the final result was evaluated.
Placement Experience
We had decent opportunities to work at the reputed companies both as a job or as an intern as per the profile and interviews conducted at the campus. However, organizations like Jain Irrigation Private Limited, L&T Infotech, Spicer India Limited came to the campus for placement and jobs.
Fee Structure And Facilities
As the course and curriculum concerns, I have to pay the fees drafted by the institute as 70,825 per year. Later on, the institute gave relaxation and we have to pay only 41,200 and that too for the three years individually but according to the semester wise only.
Campus Life
As I had an on-field course, I and the students of my batch had much time to do activities after the lectures. I generally went to the gym which was quite good and equipped with all the necessary equipment. Every weekend, I visited the library to read the books of my interest as it felt good while reading in peace.
Hostel Facilities
Some of my friends opt for the Hostel for the first year and then after they shifted to the pg rooms as there were timelines for the hostel. However, the infrastructure was good and they provided good food with clean water and full-time electricity.
Admission
I gave a national level entrance exam conducted by the Indian Council of Agriculture Research so for the students like me there was a 15% seat reserved and as I applied on campus through it, I got my confirmed admission letter. However, the basic criteria by the institute were ICAR inclusive of counseling.
Faculty
I was especially inspired by the faculty of the institute as mostly they all have done specialization that is the Ph.D. degree in their relevant stream. Along with it, they also had experience in academics to teach them appropriately and students generally understood all the relevant at once in their lectures.
