I would just say that it could be managed in a better way. If the funds may have been spent in a much planned way, this would be one of the top colleges in India.Current rating is in top ten.

I got thru IIT-JEE-2006 with an AIR -4272. There is no specific reason why i opted this college, its just that i wanted to be into an IIT Brand. And this Brand Name is still helping me in my professional career.

The courses at IITs are pretty extensive and are a product of years of research and trainings. The best part about them is the faculties have designed it in such a way that over a period of 4 years you will be covering almost everything. So inspite of being a plane Engineer in a particular field you will be a trained to survive in any domain Engineering.

Its because of my branch that i didn't got a very good internship. But yeah for other branches it was pretty good. For example, TATA Steel offered a stipend of 20-30K for internship and they also give pre placement offers.

150% placement for almost all branches. And average package for each branch was more than 7-8 LPA.And almost all reputed companies visit the campus.

The lowest possible fees in India till date. Tutios fee- 10000 hostel fee - 60 library fee- 20 tranings and extracurricular-200lumpsum-1000-2000total-13000 per sem.

I got Merit and Means scholarship. Loans were offered as soon as i joined the college, but i didn't took any. Merit scholarships were also given for branch toppers.

One of the most memorable campus lifes one could ever imagine. Full of greenery lush green grounds, well maintained playgrounds.infact there was a huge ground in fron of every 2 hostels. Overall 13 hostels with one big Gymkhana.

We had one the biggest hostels in any colleges in India, imagine a hostel with 200-300 rooms. it was just like a family other than home. I lived in 3 different hostels in which for 1st 2 years i was living in a 2 sharing room and later on single occupancy. Mess food was pretty decent compared to other IITs and it also had provision for south indian food.

Very strong alumni network. We are stil in touch with our alumnis and they are really helpful in guiding you regarding prfessional experiences and all.

The Exam structure was very chilled out.We had credit system, and the overall scoring is done based on 3 different exams class test 1class test 2 class test 3 End Sem examLabs and VIva separate for end sem only.

The Faculty standards at IIT-BHU is no match for any other college.The professors are highly qualified and have vast experiences over the decades. The passion of teaching is so much that some of the Profs are still working after their retirements.
