Course Curriculum Overview

I applied for BTech which is the course of 4 years duration. This program is approved by all India council technical education. There are various courses offered under this stream such as mechanical engineering civil Engineering Computer Science sector and many more.

Placement Experience

The best part of our Institute is the placement facility. Companies like Amazon,Tata steel, TVS, Hitachi, Hi tech, Juspay, Skysoft, Sterlite, TCS, Amtek, and many other companies hire students from our Institute.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is quite expensive but it's worth. For BTech I had to pay a sum of rupees 1.2 lacs per year. This is not feasible by everyone but the college provides scholarship for meritorious students and marginalized students also. It also provides the installment basis payment so that fee does not become a burden on anyone.

Campus Life

The college conducts various extra curricular activities for the students. activities such as NSS NCC debate competitions jam sessions essay writing competitions creative thinking which improves the communication skills and the thinking capability of the students seminars and conferences where highly qualified professionals address the audience are conducted in our college this enhances the knowledge and the competitive level of the students.

Admission

DRIEMS is a technical college affiliated to the Biju Patnaik University of Technology since 2004. I was a student of this college. To get an admission here I had to pass in 10+2 with Physics,Mathematics & Chemistry and also qualified in JEE (MAIN). However, my admission was based strictly on my JEE (MAIN) exam.

Faculty

The faculties of our Institute are highly qualified and well experienced in their teaching fields. They have studied from best institutes and are very adaptive and flexible as well they always support us in every possible way and encourage us to develop innovative ideas.

Course Curriculum Overview:

For csit the subjects kee changing accroding to the trendy stuffs that are currently going on but it was really hard to keep with that when all your subjects are changed and you have o idea or previous year qs to geta reference from. Exams are conducted continously with no gaps and its not a easy stuff students get lot of stress but still somehow manage.

A Complete Review of KIIT University from a Student's View

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at KIIT are quite good, especially for us the CSE students.The eligibility criteria for campus placements starts from 7th semester. Many well-known companies visit the university every year like TATA Consultancy Services , Infosys, Wipro, Accenture and Capgemini.The average package offered is around 6-8 lakhs and highest package offered around per yr avg is 50-60 lakhs.The percentage of students getting placements is around 90% plus in average per yr. After completing my degree, i plan to work in software industry and gain more experience in the field of technology

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.

Students after completing 6th semester are given chances to do internship and convert it to ppo A total of around 60 companies visited the campus last year. For core branches tata power ,jsw offers a lot of jobs in tech roles tcs capegemini and other service based companies hires. Also cisco hires via there hiring process. Student have also grabbed placement at amazon and ib like credit suisse and goldman sachs previously. Around 60% students are getting placed every year Last year a total of 650 offers are made. So its better to get a job via campus placement rather than trying off-campus

Placement Experience:

Placements in our college are good but not great. Th overall performance of students getting placement from every branch course combined is more than seventy percent. But the percentage in branch to branch respective wise is different , as Computer science engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering and Electrical Engineering have higher placement rates than any other courses. From Seventh semester students became eligible for sitting in placements. You can say from the start of Fourth year students sit in placements. Many companies visit and offer placements to our students but the big companies are TCS( Tata consultancy services) , Infosys, Adani Limited , Reliance Limited , Tata Power and Co.. The highest package offered to our branch course ( Electrical Engineering ) Is 13 LPA by Tata Power. The percentage of students getting placed by Electrical Engineering is pretty good and is 77%. Overall percentage of students from all branches is 72%. My plans after getting the degree is simple. I am preparing for placements and also for gate exam . I want to give myself a chance . I will try to get a big placement from a big company as I want . If that doesn't go according to my plan I will try to qualify gate exam and will do Masters in Technology in a. Higher Institute.

Last semester students are eligible to get a job in campus placement. But now if a students want a job urgently then IMB is also giving. All the students of IMB get a job so the percentage of placement is 100%.
