VIT Vellore, Msc pharmaceutical chemistry

Remarks

Overall the college management was awesome. Really strict rules but then very few people don't get in love with VIT

Entrance Preview

It was based on the percentage that I got the admission. The course that is pharmaceutical chemistry is offered in very few colleges and as per my research, VIT was one of the best options to go into.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum was really vast. Medicinal chemistry was there to give nightmares in all the sems. Then we also got a chance to study foreign languages and I opted for french. Analytical chemistry, drug delivery, the types of dosage forms formed an integral part of the curriculum. Labs were there for 6 hrs. But the professors were really good.

Internships Opportunities

I worked as an intern at strides Ecolab in bangalore. No stipend was offered there. The company was an API making company. It was great to work with the strides of Ecolab technicians.

Placement Experience

4

Job opportunities were nice. quite a no of companies had visited our college. I was placed in advinus, a TATA enterprise.

College Events

3.5

Many events were there. Riviera the fest of VIT where students from all different colleges take part. Many conferences were held. Farewell, the party was also organized. Fashion show and many other cultural events were organized.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The course is not that expensive however the hostels are expensive. but then without VIT hostels life would b hell. The rooms are neat and clean and very spacious. The rules were very strict.

Fees and Financial Aid

No such scholarship is offered. or even if it is offered I don't have a clue. though I have heard about a student exchange program is there but not much do I know.

Campus Life

4.5

Students actively take part in all activities of the college may it be fest cultural farewell labs or celebration of Indian festivals debates inter-college competitions etc.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Amazing in one word I would say for the VIT hostels.Very strict rules and one of the best hostels to stay.6 sharing rooms 4 sharing singles, as well as double sharing rooms, are available.as far as I remember the fee was 60000 per annum inclusive of mess

Alumni/Alumna

Very large alumni are there. and very good contacts are there. Facebook has become one of the biggest connections to interact with our seniors or with the people who are there in foreign countries.

Exam Structure

The curriculum had a very hectic schedule. From 9 am to 6 pm we were there in college. However, we really enjoyed opting for the course and learning so many things

Faculty

The professors were one of the reasons why we loved the college even more. Especially my HOD Himaja mam was very supportive and energetic in all the fields.

Actually I am currently in seconnd semester right now, I am not sure about the eligiblity criteria for campus placements. But I gathered some informations about the placement process with the help of students who completed their degree here recently. Most of the students having skills in demand based on the company requirements will get selected. Companies with good reputation will visit during campus placements. My aim was to getting placed in a company with good reputation and descent salary package.
