This college is yet to start providing jobs for civil engineering candidates. It is quiet hard to be placed in this domain. Although the institution tries its best to guide the students while internship with a proper stipend up to 50k. Chances are high to get places during internship if in case, he or she will excel in the given work.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is neither too much nor too less. Well! studying in the reputed organization worth is more than what we pay is I believe. each semester one has to pay around 109050 approx. This Fee structure includes of library,gymkhana,sports etc. Well! none of the money goes into vain as there is a gain studying in this institute.

Campus Life

One of the best thing of this college is though the focus is on learning. There is no less scope for people who want to continue with their different kinds of hobbies or passion. Many kinds of clubs are run in the campus. Drama,Sports,Arts etc. One interested can join these clubs.

Admission

Since my earlier days I was interested to get into one of the IIT buildings. IIT(PKD) was my strong option for me. The entry for the college is through JEE Advanced and it is a mandatory for students to clear their +2 with minimum 45%(general) and 40% (SC/ST/OBC) from a well known institute.

Faculty

Many of the faculty are well learned and most of them are IIT graduated or any other foreign universities graduated with 20 to 30+ years experience in industry as well as teaching field. They are always ready to help out students whenever in need. More than a lecturer they act as a guide or a mentor who wont mind to encourage students until they succeed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Data Science is a rising field in computer science. It has lots of oppurtunities in todays world and easy compared to other fields, which made me choose data science. The curriculum consist of various computer programming languages including Python, R and so on which are vital in the field of data science. There are also experienced faculties for teaching of the programming languages. I personally felt that lab hours are not adequate and also the available hours are also not properly utitlised by some teachers. At the end of each semester we have exams and results are published soon as the exams are over, no lagging compared to other universitites.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Chemistry is one of the main subject in whole science and it contains practical along with theory.I preffered this subject because I don't really into bookish learning.It offers skilled learning also.Exam timing was relevant for a paper 2.30 hours and 60 marks for main subject and 80 mark for language.
