Course Curriculum Overview
This is a five year course which deigns to ensure that every student of the college gains a sufficient knowledge about fundamentals of law and banking industry.The subjects taught are public international law, code of civil procedure and limitation act, company law, property law, family law, UNCITRAL model codes, merger and acquisitions, jurisprudence etc. The maximum duration for which the students can complete the course is eight years.
Placement Experience
Top legal firms such as Trilegal, Luthra & luthra law offices, Wipro, TCS, IBM, J Sagar associates, economic law practices visited our college during my batch . They recruited students for various positions such as lawyer, ,lecturer, legal advisory, assistant manager, research analyst etc. The highest package offered was 11 lpa and the minimum was 4 lpa. Internships in law firms, under lower court judges & advocates were also offered to the students but most of them were in unpaid form.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees for non Karnataka candidates is 63,950 for one semester while for Karnataka candidates it is 57,000 per semester. The hostel and mess charges are to be paid separately. Security deposit amount is to be paid in case of any penalties at the start of the semester.
Fees and Financial Aid
Bank loans are available to students but only for educational purposes. Scholarships are offered to economically weaker sections whose family income is less than 2 lpa. 50% tuition wavier is given to students who are toppers in the previous examination. Fee concession is also provided to ex servicemen and defense personnel.
Campus Life
The moot club of the college organises the inter class moot competitions and train teams to represent in the national, state and international levels. Our college takes the students to slum area, tribal areas, villages in order to develop awareness and knowledge ab out legal literacy. Regular workshops are conducted on topics such as consumer rights, environment welfare programs, food adulteration, nuclear blasts etc. The language class are available to students who want to learn different languages like Tamil, French, Spanish, German, Malayalam as prescribed by the college.Inter class sports tournament is also organised by the university.
Admission
The candidate seeking admission should have passed class 12th with 45 % marks in general category and 40% for SC/ST/OBC. Some of the seats are reserved for Karnataka students as per their policy. The admission is strictly on the basis of merit. Apply for the admission online and fill in your necessary details. After that a merit list will be prepared according to your marks. I got my name in the first list as I have secured 85% marks and was called for consul-ling session. After that I was granted admission in the college.
Faculty
The teachers of the college are well qualified and trained. They help the students in needs of stress and try to solve their problems with utmost sincerity. Most of the teachers in our department have a experience of 10+ years. we are regularly given assignments and case studies to completed within deadline to seek that we are understanding the subject in a better way.
