Course Curriculum Overview
In my course, the students are taught in detail about Aquaculture development, Intensive Farming Systems, Advances in Fish Genetics, Aquaculture Ecosystem Management, Advances in Seed Production and Coral Reef Management, etc. The exams are held thrice every year along with short cyclic tests every week.
Placement Experience
Our college offers almost 100% placements and job opportunities. The maximum pay received by one of my seniors was about 1.20 lpm and the minimum pay was about 30,000 to 35,000 rupees per month. Hence my college provides more than enough job opportunities for the students.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees for my two year Ph.D course in fisheries was about 36,000 per year which was very feasible for me. This fee also includes the hostel rent, expenditure on food and our important study material and different lab clothes, etc. Hence, this fee is very affordable for any lower middle class student as compared to the fees of other colleges in the same field.
Campus Life
Our college has many sports activities like competition in football, cricket, swimming, kabbadi, basket ball, table tennis and badminton and also conducts many brain boosters quizzes once in every 6 months. Hence its rating is very high in the extracurricular activities than other colleges.
Alumni/Alumna
The seniors of my college are very helpful in time of our exams as they help they give their precious time to their students at late night to help them prepare and understand properly for the upcoming examinations.
Admission
The candidate opting for PhD in fisheries must be post graduate and also must have a minimum percentage of 50% in his/her's Intermediate boards examinations. The candidate may apply for it by submitting his/her's necessary information toh the college's official website.
Faculty
The teachers of our college had completed their studies from abroad and have very high experience in the fields of fisheries. They never ignore any questions asked by the students and also answer them in a very specific and understandable way for their students and are also available 24/7 to help their students in the time of their exams.
