Sikkim Manipal institute of technology is one of the best(rank-17) private colleges in India. NIRF ranking of Sikkim Manipal university is (101-151)rank band. NIRF RANKING of SMIT -(251-300). SMIT ranks in top 25 emerging private colleges of India. 94% PLACEMENT every year . For admission there is a separate SMIT entrance exam and JEE ranking are also considered. college's atmosphere is very nice. Environment is very nice.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose B.TECH(CSE) as I was interested in programming stuff. And the professors are very friendly they will help you out whenever you will need any help. All the professors are highly qualified. Most of the hold PhD degree. There are 2 session and 2 quiz before every end semester exam. It keeps you prepared.
Internships Opportunities
Yes , our college provides internship opportunities every year. Last year, Dell offered internship for the Software developer engineer post.
Placement Experience
Placement are good. Approx 90% students gets placed every year. Majority of company set the criteria for placements i.e above 60% marks in 12th boards.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees varies from department to department. As per CSE department the academic fee per year is 2 Lacks 60 thousands. There is an scholarship exam,if u passed then you get the scholarship according to your marks. Placement % is pretty nice i.e 94%.
Campus Life
Campus location is pretty cool. The atmosphere is the best part of this college. SMIT has one of the beautiful campus location in India. There are different departmental fests. There is one annual fest " KAALRAV". It is of 3 days , DJ nights, games, food stalls, fashion show, academic events, and what not. There are different clubs for dancing, singing, beat boxing, gym, sport complex, canteen , swimming pool,indoor and outdoor basketball court etc.
Hostel Facilities
There are separate hostel for boys and girls. Two hostels for girls and four hostels for boys. AC and non- AC rooms are available. Single or double sharing room. Cleaning is done everyday.
