Remarks
Today while writing this, a wide smile is there on my face because today i have my own bakery only because of this college, the guidance of faculties, their support and ofcourse their blessings. I could have not got anywhere else what i learnt here. So i am just proud that i became the part of it.
Course Curriculum Overview
This course is of 1 and a half years. We are given practical as well as theoretical training. Main focus is on practical teaching because that's what this course is all about. The topics covered are, the study of commodities used in bakery, the process undertaken, selection, composition, basic knowledge of baking/heating, refrigerating, freezing, etc.
Placement Experience
In every street, in every locality you could find a restaurant. This course has also prospects in aviation industry and in other national and international sectors. So many companies come for placement drive. Some even demand to take students before completing their course a part time intern. Usually the hotels come after the course gets completed but when i was there, the year they came.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Here the fees of this course is just 49,900. I found very nominal after comparing it with other college fees. This includes tuition fees. They don't charge extra for visits and training which i feel is conducted at a very high level. All the material arrangement is done by them which is more than up to the mark.
Campus Life
Every 6 months, college fest is organized wherein we used to put our own stalls. We prepare our own pastries, cakes, etc and sell them. I felt very happy when they liked it and asked for our shops and contact details. So i used to tell them that i am a college student right now but soon will open my own bakery. Today, they recognize me coming in my bakery.
Admission
For Diploma, you just need to be 12th passed with English as a compulsory subject. I did diploma in bakery and confectionery because i wanted to be a baker and i love cakes. So during the course i got to eat lot many cakes and desserts. And this college is just a pro in this course because i joined demo classes in 2 colleges before taking admission here. So this proved to be the best of all.
Faculty
Nearly all the faculties have their own baking shop or some have their own restaurants or hotels. So by this you can understand that how much experience they might have got. They give us many tips to improve our process. They even recommend us many future aspects of the course. Leaving just 2-3 teachers, every teacher here is jolly in nature.
