Remarks

My college has given me opportunities which none of my ancestors could have ever dreamed of! I am receiving world class education, living in proper hostel rooms and making friends! I could never thank college enough!

Course Curriculum Overview

The Political Science MA course in Kalinga Institute constitutes of a healthy amount of information on both Indian and foreign policies. It is a 2-year course where the professors use theory and case studies to teach us.

Placement Experience

Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences has made a promise to the tribal community that they will help us with livelihood and a career! And college arranges for workshops and interviews to make sure we are ready to face real job interviews!

Fee Structure And Facilities

At KISS, we use the hostel, facilities and avail of formal education, all free of charge! For this, we must thank our founder Achyuta Samanta, who had a vision, a goal for the tribal community and he achieved it!

Campus Life

All the students in our college are from tribal communities, but they hail from different areas. As such, we all live in harmony and their is absolutely no discrimination when it comes to religion or ethnicity!

Admission

I did my Bachelors in Political Science from Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences as well. But for the PG courses, since the seats are less, an entrance exam is conducted. Whoever can ace the exam is selected for the PG degree.

The faculty have become our guardians in a very short period of time! They lead by example and are very gentle in teaching us everything. We often even have language problems, but the teachers take care of that also!

For csit the subjects kee changing accroding to the trendy stuffs that are currently going on but it was really hard to keep with that when all your subjects are changed and you have o idea or previous year qs to geta reference from. Exams are conducted continously with no gaps and its not a easy stuff students get lot of stress but still somehow manage.

A Complete Review of KIIT University from a Student's View

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at KIIT are quite good, especially for us the CSE students.The eligibility criteria for campus placements starts from 7th semester. Many well-known companies visit the university every year like TATA Consultancy Services , Infosys, Wipro, Accenture and Capgemini.The average package offered is around 6-8 lakhs and highest package offered around per yr avg is 50-60 lakhs.The percentage of students getting placements is around 90% plus in average per yr. After completing my degree, i plan to work in software industry and gain more experience in the field of technology

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.

Placement Experience:

Placements in our college are good but not great. Th overall performance of students getting placement from every branch course combined is more than seventy percent. But the percentage in branch to branch respective wise is different , as Computer science engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering and Electrical Engineering have higher placement rates than any other courses. From Seventh semester students became eligible for sitting in placements. You can say from the start of Fourth year students sit in placements. Many companies visit and offer placements to our students but the big companies are TCS( Tata consultancy services) , Infosys, Adani Limited , Reliance Limited , Tata Power and Co.. The highest package offered to our branch course ( Electrical Engineering ) Is 13 LPA by Tata Power. The percentage of students getting placed by Electrical Engineering is pretty good and is 77%. Overall percentage of students from all branches is 72%. My plans after getting the degree is simple. I am preparing for placements and also for gate exam . I want to give myself a chance . I will try to get a big placement from a big company as I want . If that doesn't go according to my plan I will try to qualify gate exam and will do Masters in Technology in a. Higher Institute.

My college life

I applied in this college because I did not have enough money to take education because my father is a farmer. Yes, I know from other colleges my college is not giving more quality to the students but giving education to those students who even does not think to study. Definitely I applied to other college. There I gave 3000 rupees but unfortunately when I got admission in KISS, they did not return my money. They took all 3000 rupees and said that you got admission in KISS which is free of cost residential school. We will not give to you money. There, admission process in +2 is offline but nowadays is online. Nowadays is online. When I admitted +2 in 2016 that time 80% cut off goes.
