Good remarks: You will get to know the students from all over the world, its good place to know the cultural aspects of all the country, Management was unbiased.

Entrance Preview

SIBM- 87, BBM- 76, I opted for BBM as it was specialization in banking and first of its kind course. Curriculum was well structured giving insight of Banking, My elective was " Finance"

Course Curriculum Overview

It was well diversified and distributed within 3 years, we had 3 internships during the course which gave us practical approach to a situation and better understanding in terms of corporate environment.

Internships Opportunities

Stipend was 4000 in Kotak Mahindra bank in 3rd year, previously 2 internships were not paid. Internships were very critical and it was important from career prospects HAL Company, OBC Bank, HDFC Bank etc.

Placement Experience

Job opportunities were descent, could have been better. As it was the 2nd batch, placements were not that great. For pilot batch it was good and from 3rd batch we were tied up with many banks which helped institute in achieving 100% placements.Packages offered- close to 3 lakhs ENY, Philips, ICICI Bank, Northern Trust etc.

List of the events celebrated, Annual day of college- UtsavAnnual day of college- Utkarsh- Department of CommerceTec fest- For all colleges in Manipal university, education related national banking Conference and Stock exchanges programme.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It was expensive course as Manipal university is private and course involved lots of insight information and guest lectures which were cost to the college. Course Fee 83000*3, Hostel fee 79000*3. There was an increment of 10% for every year.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

Scholarships were offered in few of the colleges in Manipal university. It as not there for my college- Department of Commerce. It was there for Engineering college. I have opted for loan from OBC Bank.

Campus Life

All the facilities were given to all the students, there was no additional fee charged for any lab or sports. We had many cultural and tec fest which gave us opportunity to get along with other students from across the country. Gender Ratio- 33F:67M, Economic Status- 10% lower Middle Class 30-40% Upper middle Class 50% Rich.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility were very good and food was like 5-star hotel. We were given full thali in a royal way in newly built food court, I was in twin sharing. There were enough hostelsSingle Seat, twin sharing and triple Sharing.

Alumni/Alumna

No, I am part of alumni, it is good to get updates from college. These things help us building network post passing out, it was good overall experience. Seniors were helpful.

Exam Structure

Exam was schedule semester wise for every 6 months and annually, We had 6 semesters and each were rated separately. We were given consolidated mark sheet at the end of 3 years. Exams were hectic as it used to happen frequently.

Faculty

Faculty were approachable and knowledgeable, mostly we had temporary faculties from different financial institutions, who helped us in our projects with different banks and also helped us completing the management course within span of 3 years with so much of diversified syllabus.

Depending on their course, at the past year before their graduation, the students get placements which also depends on how well the student has scored, atleast 7.8 of cgpa is required to get placements for job or maybe the internship, I plan on doing mba after my degree

Placement Experience:

The placement process is quite strict and difficult. U can apply for many companies at a time and suppose u receive offer letter from 2 companies one is 800000 and other is 120000 . The one u receive earlier will be considered and other one will automatically get rejected many companies have visited the college like deeshaw with package of 2400000 , delloite bain and co, zomato , plum, etc till now only 40% got placed

Placement Experience:

From 2nd year onwards students were eligible for CPUs placements.The campus placement goes very well,the management also calls passed out batches to participate in the campus drive which the student didn't get any job at the placements in their time. Tech Mahindra, BYJUS and SNAPDEAL companies visited our college,they offered work from home for 2 years ,in that two years there will be training period and provide half salary in the training period. The highest package was 7LPA and the average package was 3.45LPA provided by the company The percentage of the students for getting placements in the campus drive is atleast 70 percent and the management will pick them up which were eligible for the placement. Present iam doing MBA in Pace institute of technology and Sciences in Prakasam District, Ongole. After degree I planned to do MBA. After MBA I want to do an it job in reputed company in my country only.In Nagarjuna Degree College, management always conduct placements and campus drives
