Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum keeps the students busy and involved in the study. It is well maintained and teachers play a huge role in keeping it updated with new rules. Exams, practical? are held regularly every semester.

Placement Experience

The placement opportunities are quite impressive for regular as well as distance leaners. The college offers great jobs with nice packages to the students. The teachers keep the students aware about the things related to placements.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very affordable. This is after seeing the facilities provided by the college. However, the fee structure does not include any extra charges of hostel fee etc. the fee is Rs.32, 500 each year for this course.

Campus Life

The college is known for its extra-curricular activities. Students of every stream are always excited to be part of these activities. I have tried my hands in various activities which motivated me and boosted my confidence.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni students are very helpful and are great support to the college. The alumni students helps the current students in letting them about courses. i am friends with some of alumni students and they provide me with books.

Admission

The admission process is simple and is followed by a personal interview. The student need to have cleared their previous qualification with good grades i.e. 10+2 result. I had great marks in 10+2 through which I got admission.

Faculty

The faculty members are well educated and holds great knowledge about their subjects. The teachers have friendly nature and maintains this with every student. My doubts in the class are taken into serious consideration by teachers.

Sastra University has an incredible rank of 48 in the overall category of NIRF in BBA. It ranks 8th in Tamil Nadu according to NIRF Overall Ranking. It was ranked 99th out of 155 Top Private Colleges for MBA according to Outlook.The entire admission process can be completed online through the portal available on the universitys official website. I decided to fill the online form and was asked to submit 12th marksheet scoring 72%.

What is SMIT to a student?

Remarks:

I can assure you that SMIT provides one of the best college experiences in India. The faculty here are very supportive, they help each student with their doubts, encourages them to be innovative, and contribute their understanding to the research and development in science and technology. The study pattern is very simple over there, every day we have a new thing to learn, that made our subjects more interesting to study. The study procedure is more than just about studies but deeply in knowledge and practicality. There are many labs that support each student to have both theoretical and practical knowledge of all subjects. Our Institute made sure that the whole course syllabus was up to the mark and that each student gets the best education. All the authorities are very supportive, which makes the overall investing four years here worth it.One of most secure campus for girls (follow the SMIT Youtube channel) and the best part is faculty members are staying in the campus. They are always ready to help you even at mid night. You will find yourself in a place ?ÃƒÂ›ÃƒÂhome away from home?ÃƒÂ›Ã‚Â.The biggest challenge for an engineering graduate is to get a decent job or a startup or a platform from where he/she can pursue her higher studies right after getting a Degree as he/she would have invested a lot of money, time and hardwork. Very few colleges have infrastructures to meet all these demands and SMIT is one of them.

Great experience in SMU

Remarks:

After doing my 12th with 68% in CBSE, I was looking for colleges to persue BBA. One of my cousins was doing BBA from Sikkim Manipal University in Magitar and asked me to search about it online. I was impressed with the curriculum, the infrastructure and one of my cousin already studying there ended me up filling the online form worth Rs.1000 admission. I appeared for CAT exam in which I score 98. Along with application, I deposited my marksheets and other bank details. After few days I got a call for admission.

Remarks:

If you're getting NIT SIKKIM, it's probably because you're no good to be in better NIT and have the last option but to stay here. So at my counselling, it was the college I got through my OBC rank which was around 28k.

Just go to the distance learning centre, ask for the admission form and yes you got your admission. Only you must have your 12th marksheets with required subjects. There's no reservation benefits in distance learning. And also there's nothing like any placements....Read More
