Course Curriculum Overview

Nalbari College always keeps its eyes on the latest trends in the industry and thus its course curriculum is tailor made and industry oriented.As per the latest UGC guidelines all the degree courses offered by the institute is a 3 year course divided into six semesters with equal weightage given to individual semester results.

The Career and Counseling Cell of the college is actively pursuing its objective of providing career in-formation and guidance to the students. Various workshops and seminars are organized periodically for sensitizing the students about their career opportunities in different dimensions

Fee Structure And Facilities

It costed me around Rs 45,000/- for a 3 year B.Sc in Information Technology, where annual course fee was nearly Rs 15000.As per UGC guidelines, the institute offers various degree programmes and certificate courses at an afforadable cost

Campus Life

The institute keeps an eye on the overall well being of a student and thus encourages students participation in various sports like football, cricket, hockey etc along with other indoor games. Further, students of the college have brought laurels by participating in different Zonal, State and/or inter college competitions like debate, quiz, music, painting and other cultural as well as sports events

Admission

My father being a central govt had always have a transferrable job and during his postings at Assam that I came to know about this prestigious college.The institute admits student based on merit and due to my high marks in 10+2 I opted for B.Sc in IT over there. The college is affiliated to Gauhati University and recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC) and believed to be one the renowned colleges of Assam for its academic success

The college i study in is very good

Placement Experience:

Students from 5th semester onwards are ready for campus placements. The students from our college gets a very good college placement at a very nice company and salary. The percentage of students getting degree are 80% and my plan after my degree are to become "Company Secretary or job at SBI".

Students normally appear for placements in fourth year with two placement seasons namely from december to january and february to march. Companies include quant companies and tech giants like JPMC, Reliance Industries, WellsFargo,Piramal, Standard Chartered,Texas Instrumentation, walmart, Microsoft, Amazon, Deloitte,Oracle, HCL, Barclays, Tata steel, uber, legato, Mastercard, Nutanix, BPCL, BEL,PWC, Socgen, etc. Almost 80% students get placed every year with the average package ?1,60,000. The highest package was 1.68 crore per annum from the branch of Computer Science.

Placement Experience:

only fourth year students are eligible for campus placements . the detalis of the visiting compaies are not thte sure but at least 10 stuents are placed each year from every single batch. the higest so far was 20 lpa and it was in amazon , the student who cracked that placement applied it off campus . on campus placement was not more than 10 lpa so far . the percentage of students getting placemnets are less than 50% not because of quality of placement but majority stuents opt for higher studies or goverment jobs rather than direct placement . my paln is to also pursue higher education

Course Curriculum Overview:

The practical learning of the subject. It provides quite deeo learning into each subject. As the course provide theoretical as well as practical knowledge it becomes quite easy to apply the knowledge to further academic of occupational pursuits. Also it provides 3 months internship after the completion of the course. The improvement areas are the teaching methods of some subjects like pharmacognosy, social pharmacy, etc. Exams are conducted in a time interval of every 2-3 months. The duration of the session exams are 1and half hours while that of final exam is 3 hours for each subject.
