Remarks
For studying a pre-clinical undergraduate course, the institute is the best place to learn and grow in terms of knowledge and experience. The main benefit here is that students get to do an internship for one year which is attached to the course only.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is of five and a half years which includes subjects like orthopedics, introduction to humanity, and community medicine. A final exam of the university is held every year for four years for this undergraduate course in combination with internal exams.
Placement Experience
As of now, the institute is still working on the aspects of jobs and placements but it is compulsory to do a year internship which is attached to the course of five and a half years. There were many patients at the hospital to whom, free check-ups and services were provided by the internship students.
College Events
At the institute, there are events like the celebration of festivals, blood donation camps, several awareness camps, also some free check-ups for the people. Apart from this, there are live conferences, seminars on varied topics, and facilitation of alumni students.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The students pay 1,57,000 as first-year fees while 12,70,000 for the coming years till the graduation that comes to a total of 66,50,000 for a student who completes the pre-clinical course and undergraduate degree. The fee structure is quite expensive for mostly all the students.
Fees and Financial Aid
As per my knowledge, there are no scholarships available as of now from the institute, but there are some other options for the ease in the payment of fees. The institute helps those students with availing of some loan options for the payment of the fees.
Campus Life
One of the main parts of the curriculum is a laboratory and visiting the hospital for getting the hands-on experience. Along with it all, there are on-campus celebrations for the students to spend their leisure time and also for refreshments beside the studies and examinations.
Hostel Facilities
The Saraswathi Institute of Medical Sciences provides hostel facilities like twenty-four water and electricity supply, internet facilities, clean rooms, and washrooms. Also, there are only two students in one room and there are a balcony and washroom attached.
Admission
To get admission in this I have completed my higher secondary education also NEET exam is mandatory, admission depends on it. The process is quite easy if you have 45% and above combining the physics, chemistry, and biology as the admission process is based on the merit list and the form is available at the campus, it is to be filled and submitted with all the documents. The merit list will be out according to the rounds.
Faculty
The students get immense knowledge and a glimpse of the faculty's experience in their respective specialized subjects. Faculties provide the students with the source and the name of the subject, author of material for the students to read from before exams. They try to give extreme practical knowledge as is believed that by theory everything cannot be remembered.
