Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum has one compulsory internship but the Institute promotes two internships and help students find opportunities in companies as well as academia. They give us assignments, tutorials and surprise quizzes too for more and more practice.

Placement Experience

Almost 60% of the students got placed. In our course, the highest salary package offered was Rs. 9 Lakhs, lowest being Rs. 6 Lakhs and the average salary package offered was Rs. 7 Lakhs. L&t Infotech is the top recruiting company. Almost 10% of the students got an internship in L&T company.

College Events

Every semester we have a sports meet. Cultural clubs have weekly sessions and regular events. Technical clubs conduct workshops and float projects. Students participate in all the three inter iits every year. We have an annual fest called petrichor.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees are quite expensive for B Tech students. They have to pa Rs. 2,12,000 per semester for a period of four years. Scholarships and global youth summits are floated on campus regularly for eligible students to take benefit of.

Fees and Financial Aid

The campus is very good, and it's very calm and fresh. MCM, SC and ST scholarships are available here. In MCM, if your income is less than 5 lacs, then your 2/3 of the fee is exempted. For SC-ST students, college fee is free, but you have to pay the hostel fee, which is Rs. 25,000.

Campus Life

Events are regularly conducted, and one Petrichor fest is conducted every year. The campus is very good, and it's very calm and fresh. Wi-Fi facility is available everywhere on the campus. We can use Ethernet cable in our room and labs. The air-conditioned facility is available in every classrooms and lab. One small library is available where enough books are available.

Admission

First of all in order to be eligible to apply, you need to have passed 10+2 (PCM) plus have a position in the top 20 percentiles from any respective board. For B Tech program, you must score good marks in JEE examination.

Faculty

Professors here are very helpful, always ready to help you, but some of them don't have very good knowledge. All are qualified professors, but teaching quality is not very good. Many times we visit industry and sites, so from there, we can get some ideas and experience.

Experience as a first year student at NIT calicut

Placement Experience:

Here we recieve a really high number of offers this year it was around 970, The highest package received this year was 44.42 lpa and average was around 12 lpa Accenture, Bharat electronics limited are few of the top hirers, intel and nvidia also hire from here they are more relevant for ece students The percentage of students getting placed is 81% I will most probably try for a direct placement, I'm not thinking about higher studies(MTECH)after UG but that might change in the future

Placement oppertunities are often given during 4th year of our course. Average package is around 3Lakhs per year. Students getting placements are often high but most of the reject the offer for higher studies inorder to get a higher package.

College Feels Like Home

Placement Experience:

The placement department in our college is great and is always trying to bring good companies to the college. The placement training starts from semester 7. Our top recruiter include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, NocoBD, Delloite, etc. and our mechanical, civil, EEE,ECE all got placements with avg of 4lpa.The highest package where 12 Lpa for SAP. Course Curriculum Overview:

It's always relevant to the content being taught by the teachers. They always use application based questions to prepare us for a real life situation as well. First aid training was also completed. Some of the teachers are very interactive while some not. Short exams are conducted on a weekly basis while internal exams are conducted every 2/3 months. Not that difficult but it isn't that easy either. Very strict checking, nothing is liberal.
