Course Curriculum Overview

The course duration is of 3 years. A year is divided into 2 semesters. College took continuous assessment and theory and practical examinations each semester. College focused on overall development of students. Hence, library facility, laboratories and arts galleries were offered by the college.

Placement Experience

Placement and job opportunities were too less. As it was arts stream no company visited the college. But the students got valuable arts skills from here. So most of the students open their own art galleries and rest of the students go for the competitive examinations.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As it was the most affordable college in Assam the college fees was too less. College charged just 3-4 thousands fees per year for each course. So everyone can afford the graduation in Gargaon College. Also scholarships were available for talented students.

Campus Life

Extracurricular activities were the great attraction of arts stream. Plays, dramas for the skills development of students scheduled by the college. Arts exhibitions, debates, quizzes were also conducted for the overall development of students.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network of the our batch was perfect. Our seniors are just our big brothers. We enjoyed with them, we discussed with them and we created memories with them. They were always available for us in every problem and also taught us different skills.

Admission

Sivasagar in Assam is famous for the valuable and affordable education. Hence one of the best Institute in Assam is Gargaon College. Undoubtedly, this college is famous for it's awesome education and affordable fees. I completed my 12th and as I'm interested in Arts so I took admission here for bachelor of arts. The admission depends upon merit basis.

Faculty

College had a mind blowing faculty. Their creativity and innovation ability was just fabulous. We got the proficient and perfect art teachers. Their arts skills were just outstanding. Hence we tried to collect this skills from them in our 3 years of graduation.

The college i study in is very good

Placement Experience:

Students from 5th semester onwards are ready for campus placements. The students from our college gets a very good college placement at a very nice company and salary. The percentage of students getting degree are 80% and my plan after my degree are to become "Company Secretary or job at SBI".

Students normally appear for placements in fourth year with two placement seasons namely from december to january and february to march. Companies include quant companies and tech giants like JPMC, Reliance Industries, WellsFargo,Piramal, Standard Chartered,Texas Instrumentation, walmart, Microsoft, Amazon, Deloitte,Oracle, HCL, Barclays, Tata steel, uber, legato, Mastercard, Nutanix, BPCL, BEL,PWC, Socgen, etc. Almost 80% students get placed every year with the average package ?1,60,000. The highest package was 1.68 crore per annum from the branch of Computer Science.

Placement Experience:

only fourth year students are eligible for campus placements . the detalis of the visiting compaies are not thte sure but at least 10 stuents are placed each year from every single batch. the higest so far was 20 lpa and it was in amazon , the student who cracked that placement applied it off campus . on campus placement was not more than 10 lpa so far . the percentage of students getting placemnets are less than 50% not because of quality of placement but majority stuents opt for higher studies or goverment jobs rather than direct placement . my paln is to also pursue higher education

Course Curriculum Overview:

The practical learning of the subject. It provides quite deeo learning into each subject. As the course provide theoretical as well as practical knowledge it becomes quite easy to apply the knowledge to further academic of occupational pursuits. Also it provides 3 months internship after the completion of the course. The improvement areas are the teaching methods of some subjects like pharmacognosy, social pharmacy, etc. Exams are conducted in a time interval of every 2-3 months. The duration of the session exams are 1and half hours while that of final exam is 3 hours for each subject.
