The APSCE college is a nice college to study. However their management needs to be more responsive in nature in terms of addressing students issues.
Entrance Preview
Karnataka CET/530/ This was an opportunity for me to come out of home and join college outside my home state which had multiple advantages like Good Exposure, Linguistic diversity, Learning social Skills and having lots of good friends.
Course Curriculum Overview
Bachelor of engineering/Electronics & communicationThe course curriculum is of 4 yrs. This is again divided into 8 semesters with each semester for 6 months. We used to have various subjects/Topics covered under different semsters
Placement Experience
These were the companies which visited the campus during 2003-1007. Our Placement dept. was quite well established and had corporate IT network and connections. it turned out to be good. College Events
Annual Day, Sports day. I remember the sports day used to be fun for all of us. We participated with full throttle and enjoyed during the event. Annual day also had lot of co- curricular activities. All parents and faculty members including college guys/girls used to attend
Fee Structure And Facilities
The Fee structure during 2003-2007 was Rs.33,000. If i compared with current fee structure, its seems less. To my knowledge, the current fee is somewhere around Rs.125,000.
Fees and Financial Aid
To my knowledge, the college funds few scholarships to students whose parents are not financially strong or students coming from poor families who cannot afford the college fees.
Campus Life
The campus life is something which will remain as sweet memories for his/her entire life. College campus will be very encouraging in nature in terms of interaction with other students and faculties. The labs are well equipped and clean.College always encourages students to participate in sports.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel compound was quite spacious enough to accommodate more than 500 students. This is located with the college campus. however this was shared with polytechnic students which brings lots of friction sometimes. The food is south-Indian style which is hygienic in nature. However someone coming from north India will find it difficult to adjust initially. They might not like the taste but will get used to it later.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni of APSCE are good as they are very encouraging in nature. Sometimes it gets little difficult to approach them due to busy schedules like term exams. However most of them are good natured
Exam Structure
The exams used to happen on semester basis. This used to be hectic as it included practical labs session. Most of the times, we couldn't get sufficient time for self study. we used to depend on friends and notes prepared by toppers of the section which used to be circulated among all of us.
Faculty
The Faculty was very good fortunately and we enjoyed various classroom sessions. Additionally we connected with the faculties of APSCE college on different occasions. Overall the the faculty team was quite satisfactory.
